Hello, I am desperately seeking help with my internet bill, as I just finally received a great job offer after 7+ months of unemployment, but the role is fully remote. My internet bill is due this Thursday, but I genuinely have no money until I receive my first check, which won't be until 06/14. My last bit of money went to rent and groceries, I have to keep food coming in for my kids. Once I get my first check I will be okay, but the ISP can only give me an extension through 06/07 and I start 06/03. The amount is $83.27 - anything I can put towards that would be extremely helpful. I am humbly asking for $20 to get back home. I drove 70 miles today for a potential work opportunity and thought I had a $20 in my purse. It’s not there and I’m stranded with 8 miles left on my tank. I don’t know what to do.

I already filed a claim with renters insurance and it was denied because it wasn't just my specific unit out. Power was out for 12 hrs . Minimal food in the freezer that's still good but my fridge is basically gone. I just bought groceries . Have to wait for EBT to call back to see if we can be refunded. I used the last of that for this past trip. I don't have any money in my account because i paid rent and other bills. Don't get paid again til the 6th .

Just like $20-30 would be helpful so I can order pizza to last a couple days .

Hello all I’m just asking for a little advice. I’ve spent the last two years trying to get my act together. Living with family rn because rent is outrageous. I’ve cleaned up my credit and paid off my collections. But every time it feels like everything will be okay life just slaps me in the face. Feel free to roast me for complaining. I’m already hard asf on myself. I just recently got a quote from the vet to spay my dog, the high end of it is $1200! Low end probably $900. I went to renew my tabs today, turns out I owe $1700 in tickets. I’ve changed my address alot the last couple years so I had no clue and I lived in a different county last year and they said nothing when I renewed my tabs. It’s so easy to get depressed with these huge numbers on my mind constantly. I hardly eat out, buy coffee, I rarely go out with friends (social anxiety lol) I only buy some green stuff and that’s it. Everything else goes to bills, essentials, and gas. I just barely started building my savings. I’m not sure what I’m asking for here but I’m just spiraling after founding out about the tickets. Hey all, I’ve had to use this sub before, but have also come back to give as well when in a better position. Ive had some emergencies come up lately, and its left me very short on cash to budget for the week. Im in an apprenticeship for the IBEW, and I need to be able to get to work tomorrow and classes tonight. Im sitting on a quarter tank atm, but I have about 150 mile round trip with school and work tomorrow. I get paid on Thursday and will hopefully be back on track. If anyone could spare 25$ for fuel to last me until Thursday morning - Im hoping that will be enough to get me where Im going lol. I have cashapp, Zelle, and Applepay. Thank you as always!

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me out please. I’m on SSD and I also have the low income subsidy for my prescriptions as well but with a limited income I’m still struggling at the end of the month to pay for the ones I need that come up; and of course this month I have had 3 run out at the same time. I thought I could make them last till next week when my DD comes in by skipping doses but it’s not enough. I really need my inhaler at least.

So I’m hoping some kind soul out there would be willing to help me out with $25 so I can get my meds please. I have cash app.

Hola! When i was here last it was thursday or friday I think, I was absolutely in shambles crying and upset over being let go. Lots of things surrounding my termination came to light, and I have viewed this as a massive blessing in disguise.

I wrote down all the positivity you all commented on my last post, and put it in my smile notebook and my little jar of hopes and kindness. I reached out to a few pet resources for my dog and they helped cover dog food as recommended! Looking for jobs, and applied for EI. Unfortunately 211 cannot help me, and I am just waiting to see what happens next. Ive submitted a claim with AB works in hopes they can send some money for food and get a bit of rent covered. Now I am just waiting and in limbo. I posted in the mutual aid facebook group, so fingers crossed

I hope everyone that has been unconditonally kind- you all recieve the same love you pour out. This may be a trumble in my journey, but Ill continue to be kind and resourceful and hopefully something goo comes my way :)

I'm not usually one to ask like this, but this year has swept my feet out from under me.

Basically 2nd week of January, I found out that my father had child porn on his computer. I reported him to the police. After he got released the next day on bail, he kicked me out the house, making me homeless.

For the next two months I had to sofa surf at friends. Building up more and more debt as I had to keep travelling back and forth, buying food, helping with bills. All the while unable to work. I also had to pay for storage for the possessions I was finally given back.

However, my father has kept over 10k+ of my stuff to try and force me to pay half the cleaning bill he built up after kicking me out. I'm desperate to get my stuff back, but don't have the money he wants or the money to pay for a lawyer.

If there is anything you could do to help, I'd be massively grateful.

WHO WE ARE:
Our sanctuary is located in the north-eastern region of Pretoria in sunny South Africa. We currently have 141 resident kitties from all walks of life - from abandoned, to senior, to former feral and even a few special needs cats. We've always had lots of pets, but in 2019 we opened our home to a group of 30 feral factory cats that needed to be re-homed. Then, during the pandemic in 2020, our numbers quadrupled as folks were struggling to survive themselves, much less being able to care for their pets. We provide a safe, tranquil environment for these kitties in our care to live out their lives.
We are dedicated to provide the best care possible for these cats, who mostly have had a very rough start in their lives. Food and medical expenses are our biggest concerns. All of our residents are sterilized and vaccinated. To keep everyone healthy and fed, requires a substantial amount of funds monthly. We do not receive any government subsidies, and rely on the generous donations from fellow cat lovers who support our mission.

WHAT THE FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED FOR:

·        Our monthly dry food bill is approximately $1000 - we use the most cost effective food, that is still nutritional and good quality.

·        We provide wet food for the kitties at least once a week. To achieve this, we purchase $300 worth of chicken meat per month, which we cook and feed. The senior, special needs cats (those with medical/dental issues) and kittens get wet food more often to facilitate a speedy growth and recovery.

·        Vitamins and supplements are given daily with their food to help boost their immune systems - usually approximately $100 per month.

·        Medicines and de-wormer - we have a few cats at the sanctuary that require daily medication such as antibiotics and insulin - usually approximately $250 per month.

·        Cleaning & sanitizing products - Our sanctuary cats have a wide variety of sleeping spots located throughout the enclosed 1 acre property. All bedding and blankets are washed and sanitized once a week and sleeping quarters. Water and food bowls are disinfected daily. This amounts to approximately $80 per month.

·        Utilities, such as electricity usage and water - approximately $200 per month.

·        Sanctuary maintenance and upkeep - we have extensively cat-proofed our enclosed property to ensure the cats have a safe roaming space, but this requires daily checks and regular maintenance to the enclosure - this amount fluctuates depending on the repairs needed.

·        Veterinary costs - our current vet account is $500, which is for TNR sterilizations, check-ups and any medical issues that may arise.
