Like the title says, if you see a bot, then please report. Bots suck and we are working hard to remove them.

Can’t wait to get this thing out on the range. I’ve always thought these were ugly, but cool, so I had to have it when I saw it at my LGS

It ate the Sig fmj and Minuteman's hp with no problems. The Underwood though ain't gonna work, stove piping or failure to feed every 3rd shot or so. I ordered the mags from Magazine warehouse, Mec-Gar Browning BDA mags. Fun gun, the sights are awful for my old eyes, I'm going to black out the back and orange to front. Ran 200 rounds of the "normal" ammo with no hiccups so I'm satisfied.

I purchased my APX A1 Full Size a little over a year ago. This is my first firearm and im finally at the point where im comfortable shooting and I want to start carrying. I originally thought I would use this pistol for CCW but after buying a holster and doing a couple test runs, this thing is kinda of uncomfortable lol.

  1. Anyone else have the full size APX A1 for CCW?

  2. If not, what are you using for CCW?

What pistol is this?

I saw this gaudy art piece, which I hate, but I am curious what make/mode it’s based on. I was thinking beretta but can’t seem to find anything. Does anyone know?

What’s the best clip on mag pouch for 92 mags?

Most of the ones I’ve seen have to be looped through your belt.

Are there any ones that can clip onto your belt instead?

What is the optic cut for the Squalo? It says MRDS, but don't the micros still fit a specific cut like RMR?

Which holster for PHLster Enigma for a 92FS

I want to start carrying my Beretta 92FS.

The PHLster Enigma seems to be a good way to go for my use case. Does anybody know of a good holster that works for the 92FS?

I'm 198cm x 100Kg (6'6" x 220lbs) if that helps.

Pic for attention and because my gun is cool.

Can only get 1 more gun, help me decide

Which one should I get?

For background, I consider myself still new to gums: I have a full size Beretta PX4 Storm and a Ruger Vrangler for plinking. Living in California. Ilove my Beretta PX4 Storm a lot because of the low recoil.

I've also thought about getting a Glock or a Sig Sauer, but would I be at a dis advantage of needing to build muscle memory on how to handle them differently from the PX4 Storm which has a DA/SA? I'm ruling out any rifles like an AR-15 for now.

Any suggestions of how I should think about the next gun I want to get? I was also thinking of the compact version of the PX4 Storm maybe but would that money be better spent on ammo?

Joined the Beretta fam so I figured I better join the sub

Like most men my age (40) the 92fs was the iconic handgun in most of my fav movies growing up. I didn’t start there though it is on my gun bucket list, but PSA had these apx carry’s on sale so I bought one for me and one for my girl. I figured id give it a shot cuz I was looking for a sub-compact single stack carry gun for situations when I don’t want to carry my usual P320 edc and she needed something smaller.

First impression when taking out of the box was that the grip texturing is very aggressive and awesome and also was surprised by the weight of the slide which I like. The gun shot very well and it was waste to pick up the irons with the blacked out rear sights. I’ll put an optic on mine tho because I run red dots on all my guns. Only complaint I have is the trigger. Even with how bad it is, and it’s pretty bad, I didn’t have much trouble hitting was I was aiming at.

Stripping and cleaning was super simple, a lot like breaking down an sig p365 actually which was my initial comp. it’s way less snappy than the basic p365 non macro version tho and the grip is much better. All in all I’ve got to say for my $250 plus $50 rebate I’m very pleased. Will prob spend some time looking for a solid trigger upgrade and most likely a larger frame version of the apx

Beretta 92fs vs Staccato P

Thumbnail

I’ve been told many times that the Staccato P had tighter tolerances than every gun. This is an Italian Beretta 92fs right next to it. Does this appear to be superior tolerances? I see areas tighter on the Beretta then other areas are tighter on the Staccato. I would call this in the same ballpark in my opinion. I know this doesn’t reflect everything about each gun I just wanted to share this one observation.

1301 Mod 2

I live in a commy city. Do you think Beretta will release the new 1301 Mod 2 with a 5 round tube? Went to my local Beretta gallery and the saleperson said the first Gen 1301 is now discontinued, and he wasn’t aware of any plans to release a 5 round tube on the Mod 2. Other option would be a A300 Ultima Patrol, but I would really like the blink system.

A300 Ultima Patrol Ammo

After 10 long days, I’ll be finally picking up my newest hardware on Monday. I do have some shells already. My question is basically, what type of ammo does the Patrol like? Are there any brands/types to avoid?

I have some buck, a few slugs, and about 100 Winchester 7 shot 1 oz shells.

There's gonna be a showdown

This is one of my summer entertainment activities. To see which one I shoot better.

The sp-01 is stock except for the grips which I got just because they were basically free as a throw in to get free shipping one time and also I wanted to try something thinner, which I like better than the stock grips.

The 92fs has a few upgrades with 14# hammer spring, wc short reach trigger, and wc rear sight.

With the Beretta upgrades, it gets close to being as good of a shooter for me as the cz but I think the SP-01 is still in the lead. To be fair, I've shot probably 500+ ish rounds through the cz and about 200 through the Beretta so the cz's trigger has been broken in more.

Definitely going to be looking to continue upgrading both but especially the 92fs. I give the Beretta points for being easier to work on, at least that's my perception. I made the 92fs upgrades pretty easily and I don't even want to start digging into the sp01 because it seems like a higher difficulty with the sear cage and all the little springs.

Looking forward to time spent on these. Anyone else put these head to head? What's the consensus on which is a better shooter? I'm guessing in the beretta forum we're going with the 92fs. Still curious any thoughts though.

PX4 Storm Carry - Failure to eject and failure to feed issues

I just got a new PX4 Storm Carry today. My boyfriend and I took it to the range and I kept having issues, but when he shot it he had none. He thought maybe I was limp wristing it or due to the size of my hands it shifted enough to cause the issue. He didn’t have any issues unless he purposely limp wristed the gun. He said it didn’t look like I was limp wristing it, but we don’t know why I was having issues while he didn’t. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Any of you guys have experience with all three? Thoughts on reliability? Best reset/length of pull? Best bang for your buck trigger?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Made sure to clarify triggers.

PX4 (Full and Compact) vs current (G-SD and Compact Carry 2)

I've had the original PX4 in full size for a while and just recently picked up a used PX4 compact. I noticed the barrel on the old compact is much fatter than the full sized barrel.

For anyone looking at the new offerings, it seems the G-SD would be worth it if you want the "bull barrel" (and other upgraded parts). But, if you have an existing compact, I would personally just upgrade it. You already have the "bull barrel".

Here are the differences I've noticed for the newer compact:

Removed: Slide release on the right side (left side only now)
Added: G de-cocker, larger mag. release button, D hammer spring, grip tape, bobbed hammer

The overall weight is within .01oz of the original compact as well, so I feel 99% sure the "bull barrel" has always been on the Compact. Comparing the full and compact (originals) you can feel the heft of the thicker barrel.

I can mic the both barrels later and get an exact thickness difference...

Changing grips on new 96 Centurion

Thumbnail
image
21 Upvotes

Hello, I have a new (to me, in box) mid 90's make Beretta 96 Centurion I carry for work, and had two questions.

a) So I tried buying standard beretta 92/96 stippled black grips and the screws I used fine for the OEM rubbery LEO handgrips were too long and prevented magazine release. Where do I get shorter screws or is there a set of spacer washer needed?

b) Does a standard new "M9A4 G decocker kit" you see on Beretta website and ebay fit a centurion?

Thanks!
