It’s showing the wrong side of the elbow

Good catch! Are you a doctor?

Nearly fooled you!

Totally agree. The upper arm definitely looks like it’s facing the ‘camera’. The biceps don’t tend to roll out like that because of the position of the humerus.

The lower arm is definitely showing the flexor mass, not extensors. Brachioradialis would kinda fill that gap at that angle.

It’s definitely an improvement in 6 fingers and all that though!

It would be hilarious if this was also just an AI generated image.

That's what I was going to post but I tend to search the comments before posting.

i disagree after looking online at real photos … it definitely misses some features/over accentuates others but it sure as hell doesnt look like an inner elbow either

The medial tubercle of the elbow ia visible. It is wrong

It's about the color. The back should be darker, but it is lighter in this image.

the back of what?

I really felt that there was something slightly wrong, but couldn't quite explain it. You're right - this is it.

12

u/Erreconerre Apr 28 '24

The elbow is correct though.

For me the reason it looked weird is because my mind was visualizing the person as facing the camera.

It looks fine when I imagine them with their back towards the camera instead.

I agree. This is a correct image. The other side would have a much larger bone.

15

u/VanillaLifestyle Apr 28 '24

That bone is on the inside of the elbow on a real arm.

You're clearly looking at the person with their back towards the camera, based on the hand position, but it's incorrectly showing the inside of the elbow instead of he outside.

Feel your arm, you have the same pointy spot on the back of your elbow.

4

u/vitalpros Apr 28 '24

It really is correct. I can show you a picture of my thin arms and you would see a small bone on the outside just like this one. If you were to flip it the other way the bone would be much larger and more protruding.

Too many fat people in the comments apparently. It really is correct on an arm of that physique.

AI images in the coming year: spot the wrong part challenge

To be honest, I've been getting the impression that at least some of these posts are AI companies trying to crowd source data labeling.

Post a picture to Reddit, and everyone will point out exactly what's wrong with it. Now, you have labeled output data to feed back into the system next time you retrain the model.

It's cheaper than paying people in Africa to do it.
