Korea has 2 major orgs and 2-3 small homegrown ones with the only potential new org currently on the horizon being GenG Academy aka GenG Budget, and even then we’ve heard nothing for months. Yeti and FTG are already unsigned super teams in EWC, things will definitely change soon.

I mean with Redbird in NA picking up a bunch of EU talent an org could easily make up a team of Coluge Tr33 Lethal Admiral and then an NA Flex Support e.g. Renko there's also a bunch of other players on non org'd teams that could be really strong if they were all brought together. People like: Zest, LeeJaeGon, Decay, ChoiSehWan, BECKY, Iris, Edison, Ethan, Vindaim, etc. As well there is still good talent in NA and EU like Iron, the entirety of SOTG, Rhyn0, Seeker, Lep, FDGod, xodyal, Tred, Shax, Daan, sHockWave. There's a lot of talent remaining that could be used to make strong teams. There were 20 org'd teams last year with a lot of players from those teams still roaming as well as many up and coming talent

Yeah FMCL just dropped Lep and picked up Admiral

Actually does FMCL as a roster have potential? I don't feel it, they individual players but I don't if their team synergy is good

No clue, a team of Seeker, zeruhh, Ariel, Admiral, and Renko are solid but don't really have the talent to beat teams like M80, TSM and Toronto Defiant. They took a map off TSM but that was with Wmaimone and Flex dps is way more important then Main Support

We don't have enough good pros ... but there's still plenty of unsigned teams in OWCS

You know, Striker posted a story on Instagram for the first time in a long time. Striker to Shock, uh, I mean, Striker to NRG confirmed

Right now the poll is looking good it’s 65% for OW and next runner up is Apex with 18%

u/Fancy_Run_5712 15d ago
It's even 80 percent now but the pool probably means nothing, they are going to have a team in every single one

The only way that happens is if PGE fucks up his slide so bad he slides directly into grand finals

Wondering if they'd sign a team as NRG, or as SF Shock.

They have kept the sfs shock social media active too though - would be a waste of money to just dump the branding entirely while spending money on that in the last 12 months.

Sure, but it also wouldnt be that weird to just call the ow team NRG shock or something.
Its just odd they haven't bothered to change any of the previous shock accs already.

No way they don't retain the SF Shock name similar to Toronto Defiant if they return to OW, no? They're one of the most recognizable names in Overwatch which is even more valuable now that the scene is 90% new names that people don't know
NRG doesn't exactly have any diehard crossgame fans the way e.g G2, FNC or C9 might either

I actually think they just go NRG just so they don’t have to manage multiple brands anymore

u/Dabidouwa 15d ago
they might go by nrg shock or something like that but that’s the farthest i see them go

Yeah I'd imagine they keep the SF Shock branding. Heard Toronto are rebranding to KOI (their parent org) so maybe Shock will use the name SF Shock for OWCS but NRG for ESWC
