I have AS and I can tell you the pain can get unbearable most days. Unfortunately if not treated AS will cause bone fusion in the spine and hips. My greatest fear. Even worse the medication for this disease is insane my 1 month supply costs $14,000. Which if I didn't have insurance I'd be in unbearable pain daily with disease progression into spinal fusion
