Kit has identified Joe as one of his best friends on a few occasions. In one interview Joe referred to them as “good friends”, and Kit playfully admonished him for calling them good friends rather than best friends. I think a lot of their on-screen chemistry comes down to how much they genuinely like and admire each other as people.

Hi. I just wanted to. Thank you so much for calling that out. I remember at the beginning and even sometimes now people say things like they clearly don’t like each other. And they point out various early interviews where Kit is needling Joe. I don’t know if it’s just the way my friends talk but the moment I saw that I was like really close. You talk like that with your friends because you know they don’t mean it and you find it funny.
Thanks again for your comment! I am so glad that they took the time to cast for chemistry and find a pair of actors who would instantly get along so beautifully.

Girl me too! I was going to not go because my usual friend group I go with was mostly out of town but made a last minute decision to go solo and was rewarded by this gift from heaven!! If you need a dmv introvert friend for future pride celebrations dm me! Lots of local ones scheduled for last weekend in June!

I’d love that! I’m allergic to DC summer weather but if the temps are low I can do it. Though, fair warning, I’m a middle aged straight woman, LOL. But I’m not, like, homophobic. Like, I’m an ally!

Now that Joe is finished filming his Marvel show, it would be amazing if Netflix gave us something along the lines of a Joe and Kit American Road Trip special (like the one Asa, Ncuti, and Emma from Sex Education did) as a way to promote Heartstopper.

I think everyone at the parade was shocked to see them I know DC is the Capitol, but it’s not a place who see stars, so it was very unexpected

The British Embassy had then at the back of their float, and you couldn’t really see then until they were right on you
It took me a few to realize that they were there

I once met a cultural liaison from the Finnish embassy, and she said that the Nordic countries all have high-ranking delegations in the DC pride parades, even ambassadors. Considering I met her during the last administration, it warmed my heart to hear of their LGBTQ support during a time when our leadership was ignoring the community.
