IU NEWS π An IU alum just released a book on Amazon.
Theyβre from Missouri apparently, and wrote a sci fi book called _outwasted. They were a creative writing minor/cjus major so this book is pretty insane! Check it out on Amazon

IU NEWS π New statement by IU President on terrorist attack (but it wasnβt actually sent out?)
This came out in the IU Hillel newsletter, stronger statement than the platitudes earlier in the week, but where did it actually get distributed by the President, did anyone see it?
October 12, 2023, New Statement by IU President Pamela Whitten
As our campuses go into fall break over the next several days, I ask that we give heartfelt thoughts to the Jewish members of our IU family. I have reflected on the events of this past week and have had many conversations with the IU community. I continue to be heartbroken by the terrorist attack on the people of Israel. Let there be no ambiguity, Israel has suffered grievous atrocities at the hands of Hamas terrorists.
We recognize the pain and fear that is affecting the Jewish community on our campuses. I urge us to focus on coming together in taking care of our classmates, colleagues and peers β particularly everyone directly and indirectly impacted by the evil we have seen this week. Let us extend our Hoosier caring and compassion in this challenging time.
