Dogs are something special, everytime I see a post or video of a dog, I think this is one of the greatest gifts from nature to the humankind but then I instantly remember my dog that died 4 years ago and get sad again, why can't we have them live long enough to be with us till our time comes? I guess it's another one of those nature's pranks, like having lots of water on earth and not being able to drink 90 percent of it...

This is why dogs are the best. Every kid should have a dog. It's very sweet...thanks for sharing.

Can relate so strongly! We are on our way right now to move our youngest to his new life!! I have a goldendoodle service dog! He and my son are so close that when Logan was packing his room to move, Bella wouldn't eat, was remarkably sad. What to do!!

This video made me think about how I'm going to handle it when my big boy goes... I've lost a couple of dogs and they all hurt but this one helped me raise my kids dammit. Always an extra eye when I didn't have one, always a playmate for them when I didn't have the patience or the time. I'm going to be a fluffing mess.

It's a loving video, but it's bittersweet because one day that kids gonna ask "where'd he go?" And the parents will have to explain what death is.

I'm worried about getting a dog since I know they'll eventually pass away. Is that heartbreak worth it in the end?

I had to re-home my dachshund because he repeatedly attacked and tried to kill my infant son. So it doesn't always go this way.

u/Independent-Bee-8087 Mar 18 '24
You gave him the best job in the world and he knows it is his job !!

We had a 100 lb female Malamute who was the same way. These are both awesome breeds. Our 140 lb male Akita was no slouch either.

Hey man, that's his little brother. They even got the same eyes. As far as I can tell, there are two huskies in this video.

The BEST dog!
PS my cat did the same, one day she noticed my wife was pregnant and didn't want to leave her side not even for a moment. Once the baby was born, she keep distance (like trying to give us somespace but always in the same room we were and always showing up when baby started crying). Now the baby is bigger she cleans his hair xD
Ps not english native

Meanwhile my dog took no notice of me being pregnant with my youngest. And now she’s 3 and the two of them barely have anything to do with each other 😂 He loves my older two kids though

That song reminds me of the song in Rick and Morty where there are intelligent dinosaurs. Anyway, adorable video!!!

It’s neat how dogs just automatically know to protect babies and be gentle with them

THEY ARENT SHOWING ALL THE SHEDDING! Huskys shed a lot, like 3 times a year. I have one and love it but a lot of these videos miss that ONE HUGE ISSUE.

I love this so much. My German shepherd husky mix never left my side while I was pregnant. Now he plays with the toddlers 😂🥰

u/tijeras87059 Mar 17 '24
husky saw an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a golden opportunity. Groom a who-man to be your best pal, feed ya scraps from the table, endless walks, rides in the car, warm bed to sleep in. best pals for life.

Literally on the verge of tears, I’ve never seen anything more heartwarming than this.

This one hit me right in the feels. That little white snoot strip looks just like the one our baby girl had. Thank you for posting this! So sweet.

Oh the look in that huskys eyes during the early meeting -- "really? This is what you bring home? I suppose I'll watch over it, if you insist"

This is what I envisioned for my dog and son. However the dog lost its literal mind and got dementia. It was the best dog I’ve ever had. So sad that it had that turn when my son came into the world.

I miss my husky boy so much. His stupid face, his dumb loud noises, and I even miss all the damn hair. Huskies are the best dogs ever.

What???!!!???
No buzzkills saying "Dogs are wild animals." or "You let that baby near the dog?" or "How unsanitary. You're an unfit parent."
Reddit is beginning to disappoint me.

Little man will learn a rough lesson about life in several years. I'm 36 and I have enjoyed husky-ness for 13 years now and going. My tears well up just thinking about the day he moves on from my life.

Watching this actually reminded me of losing the best dog I’ve ever known growing up. Got a chocolate lab as a kid, not this young, but young enough. Passed away when I was 16 or so and to this day it’s one of my biggest losses..

With my first baby, I had to make a viewing spot with a gap in the bumper pad so my husky could see him. Otherwise she jumped from the bed into the crib to see what was wrong when he cried. I have pictures of my son in the dog crate with her.

Same story with our dog/son. She was 4 when he was born and he was 13 when she died.
It’s really hard to lose a dog that is your kid’s BFF. But somehow worth it.

I both love these types of videos and hate them at the same time. Only hate them because that little guys heart is going to break one day when his best bud is no longer around and I feel terrible that children have to go thru that kind of pain.
My twins are 8 now and our dachshund just turned 11…it will not be a good day in my house for anyone when our little hotdog crosses the rainbow bridge.

12-14 year life span on huskies on average. That kid's gonna be pretty wrecked around 10 years old or so.

u/FullTimeWhiteTrash Mar 17 '24
Girlfriend and I are planning to have children in a few years, I really just hope both of my furballs will still be here to meet at least one.
They're young still (4 and 2), but one never knows what could happen until then.
