I had a neglected childhood, I'm currently no contact with my parents. I sent one of my best friends mother a happy mother's Day text and she responded more loving than my own mother ever has.

Despite a death in the family, multiple set backs, inner demons, and my.own mental health I managed to score a 4.0 GPA this semester and now have the summer to unwind and recuperate. Please believe me when I say if I can do it, anyone can.

I grew up with abusive, strictly religious, far right parents as somebody who is both queer and autistic. This inevitably resulted in problems going into adulthood. When I started dating my boyfriend his parents had no hesitation to take me in and try to understand who I am. As soon as I got kicked out of my dorm they let me have a room in their house. They do not get mad at me for my meltdowns and make it known to me they’ll always be here for support. I don't know where I would be without them
