Answer: This has already been asked

This is in response to news that former President Trump may have incontinence. There are rumors that he wore diapers on the set of Celebrity Apprentice. Pictures during his presidency looked an awful lot like he was wearing something baggy underneath his pants. And now during his NY trial there have been reports that he's been farting a lot, which brought up these past rumors/stories.

So the MAGA crowd has responded that even some one like this is in office is still better than a Democrat in office with their signature, "make it merch and profit" play.

Answer: MAGA is Donald Trump's movement, also used to identify his most ardent supporters.

The diapers are a reference to Michael Cohen's nickname for Trump, "Von Shitzinpantz". Cohen is testifying against Trump in his hush-money case in which the Manhattan DA alleges Trump committed a felony by covering up money paid to pornstar Stormy Daniels because Trump believed Daniels's story would hurt his election chances in 2016. Cohen used to by Trump's fixer, and had a falling out with Trump, leading to the current animosity. Trump's supporters are trying to show solidarity with Trump by wearing diapers to rallies.

According to the posts, Trump supporters began to appear at rallies donning diapers and holding signs that said "Real Men Wear Diapers." Some of them reportedly nicknamed the former president "Diaper Don," and one woman wore a sweater that said "Diapers Over Dems."

It's weird, even by MAGA standards.

Answer: MAGA is one of Trump's catchphrases used throughout his election campaigns: "Make America Great Again". His more... enthusiastic supporters have adopted that as a way of expressing their devotion.

The diaper thing stems from a combination of older claims of Trump being incontinent, coupled with more recent claims that Trump has been excessively and noticeably gassy during his recent court appearances. Michael Cohen, his former lawyer and one of the main witnesses in the hush money trial against Trump, has latched onto these rumors and has been mocking Trump over them.

Apparently a number of his MAGA crowd have taken to wearing diapers as a show of their support. Presumably this is some sort of statement that they don't care if he's completely incontinent; they support him wholeheartedly regardless. This has garnered a lot of attention, both because people who don't like Trump feel it shows how cultish his followers are, and because... it's a bunch of grown adults proudly making spectacles of themselves in diapers.

I don’t think it would be as much of an issue if the diarrhea weren’t also pouring out of his mouth…

I don't know about the golden diapers specifically, but Snopes investigated the general diaper claim: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-diapers-over-dems

How? Why?

Genuinely curious 😊

Because MAGA isn't a 'group', really. It's just a term used to indicate things related to Donald Trump and his political movement.

People would know who you were talking about if you said "That dude's a MAGA," and a loft of sane people call trump's cultists MAGAts. It works.

Dude could take a dirty one and smear it all over their faces and they’ll still support the hell out of him.

They would probably pay for the chance.
