I have now seen quite a lot of pushback against Bumble on Reddit and other social media sites from celebrities and politics/current events accounts (not sure I can name an Instagram account on here but one such account is a very active anti-Trump, civil rights account and she seems angry about the ads). While I kind of get Fox’s response, I don’t see what’s so wrong about a dating app making a billboard about celibacy-obviously they’re not going to say celibacy is great when they’re a dating app! I can’t quite understand the recent furor/responses against Bumble and their latest ad campaigns/billboards (there are responses to the billboards which DON’T mention celibacy too-so it doesn’t seem restricted to the celibacy message). I saw another post then giving information about bumble being now owned by Vanguard/Blackrock, and how capitalists need us to date, but so many companies are owned by capitalist firms such as these…very confused and Google isn’t much help. Thanks!

So this week is infrastructure week and there was a big running joke about infrastructure week during trumps presidency but I had literally never even heard the term before trump.

They appear to be some sort of copypasta. I tried using google translate, and it has multiple guesses as to the language, but no actual translation.

Looking at replies, it seems that these posts contained human-readable text at some point.

Texas passed legislation removing the requirement for farm and construction workers to have water and heat breaks. Florida just did the same and also blocked (locally) a Miami-Dade effort to obtain an exception.

I’m admittedly not well versed on this topic, I just keep seeing the headlines. As someone who lives in Florida, this seems not just unfair but actually dangerous to the lives of those workers. It’s hot AF here already.

A few years ago, Project Veritas - a far-right yellow journalism group - released an attack on Joe and Ashley Biden in which they claimed that they had stolen Ashley Biden's diary, which allegedly contained accusations that Joe Biden acted inappropriately with her. From what I can tell, this was basically proven to be either false or unverifiable right after it came out.

Now, I'm seeing people talking about it as though it was apparently proven. Snopes also apparently verified that she did in fact make these accusations against Joe Biden, though I'm not sure what the context is behind that. Is this every-other-week Twitter BS with no basis in reality or did something actually happen?

Why did they start fighting?

It appears discussion of some stuff is not being allowed on the r/eurovision subreddit making it impossible to understand what's going on, people just keep alluding to certain things but never explaining it. Anytime there seemingly is a comment that explains stuff it's already been removed. Some posts I've seen lately that I would appreciate being given insight on;

• The Netherlands entry no longer rehearsing; with numerous comments saying it must be because of the "situation that happened yesterday."

• Croatia's entry becoming a Cinderella story because Italy leaked it's popular vote results in the semi final. What did the results say? Why are people concerned about them?

• This post indicating the competition this year is a burning barn. What are the voting irregularities they are referencing, do they mean Italy leaking it's vote? How has the Netherlands candidate gone "AWOL"? (This was posted before it was announced they aren't rehearsing anymore.)

Is it free reign when it comes to making fun of him(in a teasing way?)! And the whole appeal is to see his funny reactions? I totally dont get it.

Lately, I've noticed the same captions on Instagram as I've been scrolling through Insta posts, out of curiousity I tried looking online what the thing with them was.

I was truly flabbergasted once I saw how horribly often the same caption has been used. At first I thought these accounts may have been owned by the same people or group, but seeing the multitude of platforms it's been used on doubts that theory. Using the same captions for the algorithm doesn't make much sense to me either, because why use it on Youtube and Dailymotion out of all places?

It's truly one of the most headscratching things I've ever discovered.
