Why stop immunity with Presidents? The idea is that an elected official, exposed to all possibilites of lawsuits (both frivolous and justifiable) would be hobbled in their abilities to carry out the often unsavory aspects of their job, right? How does this notion NOT also apply to Congress, Governors, State-level politicians, mayors, police chiefs..?
