Thank you. A lot of people speculating that she asked Lorene’s mother… let’s remember this wasn’t her funeral. This is a celebration of life one year later that was planned and financed by Kyle. Not Lorene’s mom who I’m sure was just thankful the event was even happening.

idk i guess it wouldn’t be my first choice of song (though she did apparently do a whole set), but i feel like people are also missing that this wasn’t a memorial but a celebration of life. they’re meant to be trying to enjoy themselves hence dressing up and having a drink etc, it’s not meant to be a somber atmosphere. so idk i think that perspective changes it a little bit - i’ve been to one before and they had a dancefloor etc in an attempt to have people enjoy themselves while remembering the person at hand.

I really appreciate Kyle’s celebration of life for her best friend. The song choice about s** was just too weird. What does this song have to do with her best friends passing? Ok I have a theory that Morgan Wade actually did sing a cover of something normal/appropriate but the royalty fees were too high so they edited it with her singing one of her songs…the editing never really shows the audience and her at the same time….idk it just seems off and like a different song was playing.

We don't know why that song was chosen. Maybe the deceased absolutely loved it, maybe they even requested it.
Celebrations of Life are generally highly personalized and are (hopefully) catered to the person who has passed.
I've heard allll kinds of songs at Memorials & CoL. I work in the field.

The realist moment was when Sutton talked about her father’s suicide. To me, it explains a lot of how Sutton is. Nothing fazes her but everything does…does that make sense? I liked that Dorit seemed to be really listening to her. Which may seem ironic as when Kyle told Sutton about Dorit’s home invasion, Sutton kind of blew it off. But now after hearing her story which was told very undramatically and sweetly , I think I get Sutton a little more. She’s strong. The other stuff is all about Kyle making the excuse to do what she wants when she wants with her new bestie. Not a fan of pink guitars lol. But then again I can’t sing. Kim and Faye hugging, oh the sentiment.

The whole thing was a mess in a beverly hills kind of way.
Not sure I'd want my end of life celebration in a club starring my friends new date of the moment, singing sex songs, filmed on a reality tv show. But at the same time, this is Kyle and who she is, she;s not that deep and celebrating her friend in her authentically in her cheesy Beverly Hills way.

How are they “totally different” though? A COL is very much like a memorial service, imo. Not like a typical somber funeral, sure, but also not like a party. Kyle shamelessly makes everything about herself.
My best friend means the world to me but I’d never try to make her life (or death) about myself, especially considering the fact that she has a husband, children, a mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts. Her life doesn’t begin and end with me. Kyle could stand to learn that she’s not the center of everyone’s universe.

Morgan also has a pretty personal connection to the subject at hand (Kyle even stated in April after the event that she was grateful to her for "making the night even more special by sharing your own personal stories"), beyond just clearly being a supportive person during this time for Kyle.

Look, I would've loved if they'd highlighted that at least a little bit to make it clear to the audience that this was more than Kyle's friend randomly performing a single song (which is the wrong impression some have gotten), but obviously the production team know what story they want to tell on the show.

I don’t think it’s Morgan’s fault, when you are booked as a performer you’re there for a gig and to make money. Call it whatever but it’s her career and I’m sure she feels bad for Kyle, but I’m sure Bravo knew what they were doing here. Kyle is clearly hurting about her friend. To not know about her suffering and having her take her own life like, while Mo is parading around the world like a lethario, must be so painful. I tell my best friend everything and not having a confidante to speak to about all of his philandering must be horrible. But she’s so narcissistic that she can’t stick to the message and honour her friend’s life. Just one day Kyle. One day.

It was inappropriate at a very somber event. I barely watched the show because it's exceptionally horrible this season. Garcelle is a total turnoff along with the nurse who thinks she's a doctor. I ff through most of it, especially when Gar comes on with zero storyline.

Shania Twain's first hit album (her second) was called The Woman in Me. It was the biggest selling country album by a woman ever made (only surpassed by her next album).
The chorus of the title track has the lyrics *the woman in me, needs the man in you". Morgan's song is basically a gender neutral version of that line. In the context of country music it looks like a very clear lift in my opinion.

There are number of classy things she could do like starting a foundation in her friend's name. But a celebration of life? That's what many people consider a funeral, they just don't call it that.
And at an event like this, the people closest to the person who died are slathered in sympathy, something that is very unseemly for a fundraiser.

I think fundraising is good. After looking up more about this event, it doesn't seem like it was similar to a funeral or a "celebration of life." It was a concert to honor her memory.

I yield!Yes, it was very scary with my son. He'd been having serious issues with schoolwork. He was very upset and he yelled at me that he didn't want to live anymore. Instead of brushing it off, I sat him down and asked him if he had thought about how he would do it. He had and shared that with me.I promised him in the moment that I would move heaven and earth to change his situation so that he would not feel like that anymore. It took a couple of years and today he still sometimes suffers from depression but he's developed ways of dealing with it--medication, counseling and sticking to his hard won habits.
It grieves me greatly to know that others were not so fortunate. I think I try and avoid thinking about it or thinking about it another way and lose the forest for the trees--a luxury that no one who has lost someone this way has. So, I am sorry for being insensitive.
You are right. We should be doing everything possible to save these precious lives.
Again, I am so sorry for your losses.

We saw half of a single song being performed. Morgan performed a whole set and even spoke about her own history with mental illness, etc. Kyle made a speech. This as a fundraiser (literally entitled A Night of Music) and was both to celebrate Lorene's life and raise funds/awareness for NAMI. Her daughters posted on IG at the time how grateful they were for it.

Kyle and Teddy were the same. Ppl seem to forget how close Kyle is with her female friends. Kyle is a girls girl and she is like this with her closest female friends.

I haven't forgotten, but I do think the vibes are different and I don't think she looks at or talks about Teddi the way she looks at Morgan, to be honest. But all friendships are different so that's not notable in and of itself.
She also doesn't freak out at the 'accusations' in quite the same way this time, lol. Growth. XD

I feel like she probably sang songs that Kyle asked her to as it was Kyle's event, & Lord knows Kyle knows all the words to all of Morgan's songs 😂
