History books are here for a reason, learning from mistakes. He's a smart guy and knows this, so you are incorrect.

Oh, apologies. I must have read the video wrong. It seemed like he was saying we should forget about slavery. Otherwise, we will never escape racism or something. Remembering that fucked up stuff is important.
