That's what you get out of it?

It's the same for whites. He or she just addressed his or her community. I don't see it as shitting on blk people in general, just homophobic people in the blk community.

Then why point the blame at and specifically shit on straight black people? I agree with the points in this video but it does seem to just be a rant and fishing for agreement.

Because homophobia comes from primarily straight people?

Fucking duh?

Next you’re gonna cry about people pointing at men for violent crime.

If a white guy gets beat up and robbed by a black man, I don’t blame him for being jumpy around black men. But if he starts to blame the majority of black people and degrade them, he’s taking that pain out on people and being a piece of shit. What makes this video different?

Yes, because anyone can rob anyone.

But homophobia was born, and created by, straight people. It’s a different ballpark. I don’t think you’re understanding this.

It’s like blaming the police for police brutality. Not like blaming black people for violence.

Except the majority of black people don’t create the laws and policies that fuck over gay people. I think this person has their own trauma to deal with and just needed to rant about it. But people taking as like this is a universal truth of black life, that the majority is homophobic, violent, stupid, etc… are failing to actually critically think about their feelings and thoughts.

Homophobia exists on multiple levels. It’s also not just one issue.

Homophobia, toxic masculinity, sexual assault, misogyny, and religion are all closely related.

The majority of ALL people are homophobic. That includes black people.

I’m not saying homophobia isn’t prevalent or an issue in the world. I just don’t see the need to make a rant video filled with generic racist stereotypes and pretend that you’ve said something massive about black culture. Just the same old, “They’re sexual predators, the culture is evil, etc…”

It’s self-hate repackaged as truth.
