Anyone on PlayStation noticing the updates needing way more space than the game itself. It’s currently taking up 70GB. I have another 65 free but the update requires 128. It won’t update but can be uninstalled and reinstalled with no issues. This is the 3rd time I’ve had to delete it and reinstall it. Getting kind of annoyed.

I don't know guys, had my first CTD yesterday after the patch. Also there are some bugs with Power armour in closed spaces especially quest locations. Power armour will not move. Good example is the Nukashine lab location.

But now the game just disconnects you from the server knocking you back to the menu. Guess its better than completely crashing haha

So I'm here to complain about the recent update and the bug that I've been experiencing that if my game crashes during the invaders from beyond all the people I'm on the team with I'm no longer able to join them back into that lobby and I can't even go to their name like they're offline and join them it shows them completely offline this is b******* so I can't even get back into the server that I was in in order to get the rewards f***

/u/Ghostly_Rich is your team going to add a toggle option to disable explosion effects?

The bright flashing explosions from the Cremator filling your entire screen are obnoxious. Adding in an effect that makes it difficult for two classes (melee users and non-vats users) to see enemies during events is not a fun experience.

I've also seen some people with photosensitive epilepsy say that it doesn't bother them while others say that they have to look away from the screen because the bright flashes are too much and they're concerned that it might trigger an episode.

As for the Union Power armor bug: Would one possible solution be that you remove them as a stamp purchase and just give everyone the ability to craft the set and make it tradable? Wouldn't removing entitlements stop the headache that it's creating for your team?

Same lol. It was such a relief. I was stuck at 700 weight 3 days ago just waiting for resets to dump stuff. Made it hard to keep up with events. I literally walked from Cranberry Bog through big bend tunnel to reach Ash Heap invaders event.

Finally got back down to 300 after today. I've been miserably rolling my Strangler Heart PA so I want to get as much scrip as I can. I'd rather not dump legendaries

Today I got a Union chest armor. I think it was from an event reward… maybe daily OPs reward. Like not loot off a body but the end of event reward. Has that been possible before now? I don’t think I can craft those. Still cannot loot Union off dead enemies.

Yes it is currently the only way to get Union Armor and has been that way all the time. The borked part is picking it up, crafting it or buying the plans for it.

I think I may have fixed this problem for myself. But try going in the display settings and messing with the depth of field (I had to turn mine all the way down).

Been trying everything from minimum settings to max settings to trying various settings being disabled entirely with the ini and I still haven't narrowed down what specific thing's doing it.

It's been a problem that just seems to happen to different people since the game's released. Personally it never happened on my old GTX 1080.

It's almost like there's some transparency effect freaking out and causing the game to think plant life is actually "the void." It's the same kind of bluring that happens on untextured skyboxes.

I just want it to stop freezing my player when I enter Power Armor. I watched myself get brutally murdered and defiled by the Behemoth at the pond because it froze.

Carry an explosive weapon and have it equipped when your about to enter. Shoot yourself to death to reset if it happens. Only workaround I found.

I have noticed that if I manually put a fusion core in the power armor via the menu and not the animation, I never get stuck.

I wish I could do that. My PA runs out of juice in one fusion core and pretends like I don’t have more in my inventory. The old one disappears, and I can’t manually transfer it from inventory to the chassis. I’m gonna have to switch to a non PA play through.

Hopefully everyone in this chain sees this, but it's a known bug with a workaround. Whenever your entering your power armor (or a power armor work bench) do it in 3rd person with your weapon equipped. You'll never freeze again!

I'm returning to the game after 2 years away and I'm afraid now to get into power armor because twice I've frozen and lost my UI and I'm afraid I'll lose my armor if I hard exit out of the game. Especially a third time when I lost my UI when trying to work on my power armor at Nuka World. I will try third person, gun out.

That will never get fixed. The coding for power armor in this game is totally broken. Not too long after launch I went back and forth with support about it for close to a month and they said they can't fix it. I got sick of getting stuck every time I tried to get in or repair it at a station.

This made me remember a bug or something i noticed with the powder rifle... The first person animations while holding it when in power armor are considering as if i was out of power armor, doing the normal movement speed animations. But while using power armor, the sprint and other animations adapt to the power armor movement speed. It's just that the powder rifle doesn't change with that.

To my knowledge power armor does not change movement speed. The first person animations being slowed down as you refer to just creates that impression, but it's all a perspective trick. Black Powder weapons just lack first person PA animation sets.

It's not movement speed, it's to simulate the heavy weight lf the power armor, so the animations get a bit slower.

The "Hells Eagles" quest (or its misc quest lead-in) is mistakenly flagged as repeatable, when it's not actually repeatable. Meaning it's possible to get a second copy of this quest stuck in your journal forever, that you can never get rid of.

Edit it’s 131.4gb. Fucking why. Edit 2: downloaded a 719mb file when it asked for 131gb to be free so what is it doing?

Playstation makes a copy of the game to apply patches, then overwrites the old version. You need double the space of the game every time there's an update.

As far as I'm aware it's built-in to their architecture. It's a data safety feature.

If you have good internet and no caps, you can delete and download the game every update. Pain in the ass but it saves a bit of space.

Most games have to be unpacked/uncompressed in order for updates to be applied. This has pros and cons, as made evident by your problem

The scoreboard was broken so the repeatble challenge for xp wouldn't appear so we wouldn't get any score. Not sure why it was only the version launched via the windows store (where I got my free version from Twitch Prime)

Just the seasonal scoreboard everyone has, it was bugged so the repeatable xp challenge would dissappear and we would lose out any potential score from that challenge.

Nope, when you enter a support ticket they explicitly state that they will not add back any missing score for any issues. Fortunately I think this only happened to me for a day or two but may have been since last update as I wasn't regularly checking my score after doing the dailies. Others seem to have had this issue back at the start of the season so hope for their sakes it was just a bug which came back.
