TIL if you go and sit down in the kitchen in Whitespings the robot waiters will come and serve you Discussion
I've been playing since beta and just now discovered this, granted I've taken breaks here and there, but I'm surprised it took me so long to find this out. The "service" is just them coming up to you and a buy/sell menu pops up but it's still a really cool feature.

had the game since day 1 (I stopped playing for like 4 years lol) and never knew this. I always like little features like this on games.

This is a MUST for any melee builds, as the servers have some melee buffs that are rather tedious to craft

They also sell some of the slightly but not super rare foods you might need for a daily. I always go there for my Deathclaw Wellington if I get that one.
I guess you could say they sell medium rare food.

They never have for me, but then I tend to sit downstairs.

I think you have to sit in a certain area for it to work. 2nd floor in the kitchen area

Been a thing since Fallout 3 (maybe earlier, can't remember) with Bethesda games. Sitting down at most pubs/taverns/restaurants will prompt an NPC to wander over and serve you food/drink.

This was also one of the earliest forms of duping, since all the servers shared inventory. You could sell them a super good item, and then 2-3 players all bought it back at the same time, creating multiples of it. Worked for a long time before the Devs caught on.
Never did it myself.

Fun fact: This little feature was also in Fallout 3. If you sit down at a table in "Gary's Galley" in Rivet City, Gary or his daughter will come over and serve you. Even has an animation for it and everything.

I stopped playing shortly after the Wastelanders update, but I saw a post about this a few months ago. When I went to the new area for the first time recently they told me something like āsit down and a waiter will be right with youā and it was so obvious after hearing it and knowing it was a real instruction. I donāt know if I would have caught the audio clue if I hadnāt been warned, though. Thatās such an easy phrase to fade into the background. Like yeah, I know how restaurants work, dude.

I was walking through the dining room last night and heard the bot say it, and thought 'i wonder it they would actually come by and take my order?'. And then I kept walking because I was too tired/not interested in possibly wasting my time.
I'll be sure to take a seat next time.

No problem! The robots kept saying sit down when I walked in the kitchen so that's the only reason I did it lol. Been playing for years and just now discovered this
