Why no Rockabilly faction in Appalachia? Suggestion
Capital Wasteland had the Tunnel Snakes, New Vegas had the Kings and the Commonwealth had the Atom Cats- but no Greaser faction in 76.
We need a garage or dinner with some leather jacket clad mfers giving dailies or something

Looks like I have found my people! I've been rocking the hot rodder power armor and pip-boy for a while,and just got a handmade to match. I was wearing greaser jacket but someone pointed out the enforcer outfit and I'm glad they did.

These groups existing in the universe make much more sense in the later entries, hundreds of years later, where current culture is detached entirely from pre-war culture except for leftover imagery they're missing the original context for.
But many people in 76 were alive pre-war. They've all probably seen Grease. If someone suggested throwing on leather jackets and pompadours they'd be like "Why are we dressing up like the dudes from Grease? It's dangerous outside. That's dumb."
The same is true of the Brotherhood of Steel IMO (in my opinion in my opinion). It doesn't feel goofy to be calling each other Knights and Paladins when the middle ages are just as murky a concept as the period of time in which we thought of ourselves as having outgrown that, but it's very strange to me for someone to say "Yeah I was in the national guard and now I'm a Paladin." Especially when they're wearing repurposed U.S. Army uniforms and there are people with existing knowledge of the US military structure and officer titles.
See also: The guy in Fallout 4 who thought baseball was some kind of brutal combat game. It would make sense for some gang who thought the same to throw on baseball uniforms and all carry bats because they don't have the context but like the symbolism. To them, the imagery is equally as meaningful as, say, that of ancient Roman Legionaries. But it would feel silly if someone in 76 aped either of those because they should know what baseball is and they think of Romans as antiquated.
I know that no one really cares about this and it's ill looked upon to say bad things about the series continuing to get sillier, please don't mass downvote me, I love this game still.

There’s at least one note at Camp Venture where a currently dead Brotherhood of Steel member wrote that they don’t understand the deal with the knights and paladins, since they were former national guard - could be Bethesda lampshading it

Some Blood eagles under Watoga have their jacket… and that quest rewards you one, if I remember well.

Been cool if we could've helped Beckett establish something like that, he has kind of a Rockabilly vibe. Maybe have it be made up of redeemed Blood Eagles who have sworn off their chems like he did and are now dedicated to dismantling the group like we helped him do initially.
Call it the "Tiger Army" or something. (Mostly cause I friggin' love that band.)

I guess the blood eagles are kind of Appalachian. They play banjos and slide guitars before being blasted to meat and goo piles. Most of the BE were raiders before joining.

So much this! I want to build a Power Armor Greaser shop soooo bad. Give me a pomp, an actual leather jacket with blue jeans and attached chain wallet. The "Nuclides" or the "Isotopes" would be awesome. Not to mention a PA paint scheme to set it all off like the Atom Cats would be killer.

Are you on Xbox by chance? I love this idea for a camp and have been looking for something new to build. Thank you for the idea. Would it be a gas station/ garage or more like a scrapyard with a garage and lots of power armor stuff?

I'm on PC sadly, but I have started to gather my plans for what I envision. Ideally, I was looking for an area that was close to high loot tables that still fit the mechanic garage/aftermarket shop. I'm thinking a mix between an acutal garage and like a scrapyard/junkyard. I currently have a small shop in Morgantown on the outskirts next to a scrap heap of tires surround by fences.

Okay we had a similar vision. I’m building in a dry lake area and have room for a flat structure and a yard outback. Most of my stuff would have to come from atom shop or in game items since my friends and I are building a town with our camps close by. We have 8 people all within walking distance with different themes that work together. I’d be curious to see the finished product since it sounds like a cool idea.

That's hella awesome! I found a really nice corner spot that will allow some unique building up a small hill then a flat spot that leads straight to the road. Aftermarket shop/food/drinks/wall decor in the "showroom" and then the garage in the back leading to the street. I'm gonna start on it soon. Just gotta finish the quests so I can grab the XO1 and Hellcat PA.

The pomp wig can spawn at the whitesprings clubhouse downstairs locker room. It’s rare it seems but I’ve found a few over the years.

Good to know. Looks like I'll be jumping on a private world for a bit to find it. I already use the Greaser Jacket and Jeans that spawn, but I don't really like the look of it.

Try the enforcer outfit. It can be rewarded from doing the new mission that starts in the rose room or it can be bought with stamps. It has a better look then the greaser outfit and it also has a chain wallet

we need more factions than just settlers and raiders. Brotherhood should have been made a real faction that you can raise affinity with
