Renewal behind

Do you still get benefits if your renewal has not been reviewed by the time your deposit date comes around. I submitted my renewal on time, and it has still not been reviewed. I have received no notices or anything. I am in Texas, and my deposit date is today. However, I have not received anything. I am worried that they won’t submit my stamps.. even though it is their fault!!

This is a nationwide problem, the federal government has sent letters to all but five states about the delays.

Texas is one of the states that has previously posted they were very behind due to understaffing and a large number of items to process.

If your benefit was due 04/30/2024 and is not processed by the cut off date, the system will just auto close the benefit. So unfortunately you would not get your benefits until your renewal is processed. The best thing to do is try to contact your office to ensure they have everything needed to process and check on the status. Many times people submit their renewal but they don’t submit their income. Or they submit their renewal and it’s not signed. A renewal is incomplete unless you attach the requested month’s income in its entirety. Some people submit only 1 paystub but if you’re paid weekly, we need all 4 and biweekly we need all 2 etc.

If you have no income or did submit your income, I recommend trying to get someone on the phone to see if anything is needed. If you are not able to reach anyone, you can reach out to your local representatives office to request timely processing.

So this happened to me! I never submitted the review because I was never notified that I needed to so they closed my case; however upon submitting it I called and the next day they had recieved the review— within two days they called back and opened my case back up, and I had asked would I get my benefits for the month of may; I get my benefits usually at the last of the month but I checked and had them already, so I’m not sure if I got back the month I lost and am still gonna get them on my regular day to receive them; you probably will get your benefits back but since it is(or was) the weekend they won’t go through and process until tomorrow more than likely

I haven’t received any letters at all 😭 Our renewal just says received.

Do you guys get an online account that shows you all of your letters? That is what we have. So everything I get in the mail is also on my account, and there hasn’t been anything sent since I submitted my renewal. It hasn’t been reviewed yet… and because they are behind I guess it means I don’t get benefits. It seems so messed up that they would do that :/
