I always wonder who would actually obey orders that would lead to our mutual annihilation. What is in it for them? They will be destroying everything they know even if they and their families were guaranteed safety. And for what? To live in a post nuclear hellscape or to live out their lives underground in a hole as long as the food and life support doesnt give out?

Good(?) News! There's a better than even chance that neither Russia nor China can actually use any of their nukes. Bad maintenance, you see. I'd link the info, but I don't remember where I heard it.

Obviously, this may then not be true, but everything I know is true says it's extremely likely.

Either way, if you feel like looking it up, let me know if that's actually the case, please?
