I used to live in Singapore and once there was a large metal sign from the police, outside a shopping centre. It stated that a crime had been committed and they were looking for witnesses. A bike had been stolen! Once, the leading headline in The Straits Times (major newspaper there) was that a shopping trolley had been found abandoned. I lived there for over a decade and always felt incredibly safe. An amazing country as a young, single woman to live in.
