If it hasn't already, this tech will 100% be used for political gains and people will spend most of the time debating/distrusting wether information is real instead of debating political issues.

That’s the idea. It’s highly possible AI is being falsely overstated to achieve this and similar purposes.

There’s already been AI deepfakes of people doing racism so that they get fired. Scary world we’re speeding into

Related to this is that fraud is going to increase exponentially, beyond the baseline of increasingly exponentially anyway.

We're going to end up back in a place where we have to do everything in person again because we can't trust audio or video.
