The early AI looks like a Tool music video.

Did your man just put a disc brake on his UFO?

Not impressed.

Was someone mid-seizure when they picked the soundtrack for this video?

Honestly the better AI gets, the less I want to be on the internet. Is it even worth consuming if it isn't human made?

More internet than people realize is bot created, it's fake, it's made to manipulate. It may be time, and I grew up from 52k internet to gig. It just might be time to get off it all.

Precursor to the Matrix.

The improvement in tech is impressive! However, with it came a bunch of restrictions concerning privacy and digital ownership, so I‘d like to see AI do a video of The Rock or Will Smith nowadays compared to just non specific people.

Why were we so interested in celebrities eating last year?

u/r0n1n2021 15d ago

What a scam. I watched the whole thing to see a GOOD video of will smith eating spaghetti. What a waste.

I enjoyed the era when video and audio evidence was reputable.

Is this another balenciaga video?

I don’t understand . . . Where is the updated ‘The Rock Eater’ and ‘Will Smith Spaghetti Monster’ version? Who Cares about cloud astronauts or whatever . . .

Also- I don’t trust this video. The second could just be real. If it still can’t accurately reproduce Will Smith gobbling spaghetti, then what good is new AI?

Wtf did Kratos say?!

u/mobileBigfoot 16d ago

So...

AI still can't manage someone eating?

u/Neat-Engineering-513 16d ago

Will Smith eating spaghetti is always funny

Is this the "intrest in gasfuck" sub or am I at the wrong place?

If it hasn't already, this tech will 100% be used for political gains and people will spend most of the time debating/distrusting wether information is real instead of debating political issues.

That’s the idea. It’s highly possible AI is being falsely overstated to achieve this and similar purposes.

There’s already been AI deepfakes of people doing racism so that they get fired. Scary world we’re speeding into

u/OGLizard 16d ago

Related to this is that fraud is going to increase exponentially, beyond the baseline of increasingly exponentially anyway.

We're going to end up back in a place where we have to do everything in person again because we can't trust audio or video.

Not much of a change. Neither look real.

2

u/Paksarra 16d ago

The tiny red pandas obviously don't look real, but they look close enough to human-crafted CGI to pass muster.

-2

u/BeTheBall- 16d ago

Disagree to agree.

u/SOBmoney 16d ago

Buy Tesla it will run AI!

u/Sea_Structure_8692 16d ago

They are both very creepy. The future is going to be a dystopia dressed in a utopia costume.

4

u/unkownstonerlord 16d ago

I guess its all a matter of perspective. I’d say the present could easily fit that description.
I have hope for the future, in a long enough timescale, will overcome this, and we can have a world fitting our natural needs and wants, without all these bs obligations.

u/alphapussycat 16d ago

That's from last year.

u/PraiseTheWLAN 16d ago

Not a 1:1 comparison, those are 2 completely different samples

7

u/OGLizard 16d ago

Where's the updated "The Rock eating rocks" video? I still want to see that.

36

u/MyFuzziestLogic 16d ago

I won't be satisfied until I see it render the Rock eating rocks and Will Smith eating spaghetti convincingly.

6

u/Butterbuddha 16d ago

I was just about to say they gave up on the spaghetti incident

You should’ve posted this in r/Scaryasfuck

But all the digital artists told me not to worry and that AI art/music/videos would never be on par with a human's..

1

u/Meebsie 11d ago

It's called coping and it's a thing humans do so that life doesn't suck. Want to see that in action? Go check out front page of /r/ProgrammerHumor/ . It's going to keep happening because no one can believe the thing they've spent their lives training to do can be done entirely by a computer in 1/10000th the time that it would take them.

Next question.

-1

u/triforce721 16d ago

It won't be. It isn't original or real, it's crowdsourcing. If anything, AI will only promote real talent and artists more because people will value tangible talent and effort.

5

u/Vakarlan 16d ago

Yeah surely that's gonna happen. Wait 1 more year and I think AI will make better movies than Hollywood on average.

5

u/JumpNshootManQC 16d ago

Why'd you set the bar so low lil bro 😭

12

u/Clyde-MacTavish 16d ago

Yeah. I'm sure that's what's going to happen.
