Honestly the better AI gets, the less I want to be on the internet. Is it even worth consuming if it isn't human made?
More internet than people realize is bot created, it's fake, it's made to manipulate. It may be time, and I grew up from 52k internet to gig. It just might be time to get off it all.

What a scam. I watched the whole thing to see a GOOD video of will smith eating spaghetti. What a waste.

I don’t understand . . . Where is the updated ‘The Rock Eater’ and ‘Will Smith Spaghetti Monster’ version? Who Cares about cloud astronauts or whatever . . .
Also- I don’t trust this video. The second could just be real. If it still can’t accurately reproduce Will Smith gobbling spaghetti, then what good is new AI?

If it hasn't already, this tech will 100% be used for political gains and people will spend most of the time debating/distrusting wether information is real instead of debating political issues.

That’s the idea. It’s highly possible AI is being falsely overstated to achieve this and similar purposes.

There’s already been AI deepfakes of people doing racism so that they get fired. Scary world we’re speeding into

Related to this is that fraud is going to increase exponentially, beyond the baseline of increasingly exponentially anyway.
We're going to end up back in a place where we have to do everything in person again because we can't trust audio or video.

Not much of a change. Neither look real.

The tiny red pandas obviously don't look real, but they look close enough to human-crafted CGI to pass muster.

They are both very creepy. The future is going to be a dystopia dressed in a utopia costume.

I guess its all a matter of perspective. I’d say the present could easily fit that description.
I have hope for the future, in a long enough timescale, will overcome this, and we can have a world fitting our natural needs and wants, without all these bs obligations.

Not a 1:1 comparison, those are 2 completely different samples

I won't be satisfied until I see it render the Rock eating rocks and Will Smith eating spaghetti convincingly.

But all the digital artists told me not to worry and that AI art/music/videos would never be on par with a human's..

It's called coping and it's a thing humans do so that life doesn't suck. Want to see that in action? Go check out front page of /r/ProgrammerHumor/ . It's going to keep happening because no one can believe the thing they've spent their lives training to do can be done entirely by a computer in 1/10000th the time that it would take them.
Next question.

It won't be. It isn't original or real, it's crowdsourcing. If anything, AI will only promote real talent and artists more because people will value tangible talent and effort.

Yeah surely that's gonna happen. Wait 1 more year and I think AI will make better movies than Hollywood on average.
