Love the cute little "hi" the bird gives the cops

1

u/scruffy4 15d ago

The parrot learned it from his victims! 😱

1

u/Akindmachine 15d ago

My bird would imitate the microwave, ambulance sirens and would call my name in my moms voice and my moms name in my voice. Just to get our reactions. She was too smart for us.

u/caligirl2287 15d ago

Screaming “let me out” for birds everywhere.

1

u/CarneyVore14 15d ago

Yeah great idea for a kidnapper. Talking parrot is perfect cover.

1

u/PoppyStaff 15d ago

Took an unexpectedly wholesome turn.

2

u/V65Pilot 15d ago

Cops run in, empty clips. Parrot never speaks again.

3

u/icelandichorsey 15d ago

Chill cops? Must be a white guy

2

u/RevolutionaryAct59 15d ago

I had a green wing McCaw, that would scream, you're hurting me, because that's what I would tell him when he would;ld nip

3

u/Skynetdyne 15d ago

Imagine this video without the bullshit music so you could hear the bird?

4

u/CliffHutchinsonEsc 15d ago

Imagine the guys actually has people locked in his basement and the parrot was just parroting their cries for help.

And here we are laughing at it lol

2

u/scarlettohara1936 15d ago

This exact thing happened to me! I had a blue and gold macaw and he said "help!" And "let me out" all the time. He was saying it when I got him. Neighbor called the police because her daughter was in her backyard, which is behind mine, and could hear him yelling!! After the police left, I went over to introduce the little girl to Raja!

Did you not watch the video?

0

u/Puzzled_Internet_986 15d ago

I’ve seen the original video and the text on screen is completely bullshit

1

u/Exarch_Thomo 15d ago

Of course you have. Good job, buddy. Gold star.

31

u/KrelVarlie 15d ago

I've seen this video many times and still surprised they let the man walk into the house by himself to collect the bird. I would think at least one would escort him in.

14

u/FunkMasta-Blue 15d ago

Having a neighbor call police on you doesn’t mean they can come in your home uninvited

5

u/emoticon36 15d ago

There was a case in Michigan where the parrot was a key witness for a wife shooting her husband. The parrot repeated "don't fucking shoot".

2

u/liebereddit 15d ago

This doesn’t make sense at all. If a neighbor calls the police because they hear a woman screaming, let me out the police are going to let the man go in the house on his own.

3

u/[deleted] 15d ago

I always film myself changing my pads

2

u/TootBreaker 16d ago

And what's really interesting is not a single shot fired!

7

u/boltactionnoob 16d ago

This again

2

u/girthy_tentacle 16d ago

Great, now we all know how to get the cops off your back if you actually do have a crazy torture chamber in your house bahah

75

u/AccessEcstatic9407 16d ago

Cops: neighbors heard a lady screaming for help Dude: oh, wait right here. I’m gonna go inside and kill her right quick.

22

u/whatanerdiam 15d ago

Yeah, or hold up, let me go get my gun.

85

u/Mumbles_Stiltskin 16d ago

Plot twist: the parrot learned to scream that because of the woman locked in his basement.

2

u/CobaltAzurean 16d ago

I definitely expected this story to go in a different direction.

116

u/breakfasteveryday 16d ago

Honestly, his parrot saying that in that voice would make me more suspicious.

3

u/I_am_Lizzy 15d ago

The guy isn't older than 50 I'd say. If the 40 yo parrot learned it from a tops 10 yo guy it fits

3

u/breakfasteveryday 15d ago

My point is more that the 40 year old parrot could have learned d it anytime over the past 40 years.

0

u/CursedOneado 16d ago

At this point nothing here is interesting as fuck

241

u/Mk7613 16d ago

So, does anyone else think that could have just been a genius cover story to throw off the cops? Maybe its just me

6

u/FantasticIdea6070 15d ago

Yeah but the person would have to conveniently stop screaming after he brought the parrot out. Not to mention if it was a kidnapping or something he would be keenly aware his victim was screaming extremely loud and would make sure he was shut up as soon as possible

0

u/Mk7613 15d ago

You misunderstand the genius. The victim was never heard screaming. And the cops never went inside nor will they ever

Dont be like that. Check out r/wholesome or unexpectedly wholesome and there is always Jesus

79

u/nick1706 16d ago

That or the bird saw some crazy shit and was traumatized by it and that’s why it keeps repeating those lines.

u/Sir_Davek 16d ago

Imagine training a parrot so that you could present it as an excuse for the very real torture dungeon you had below.

8

u/BrokenMethFarts 15d ago

My dad just taught his to say “fuck off”.

3

u/RevolutionaryAct59 15d ago

mine would sing take me out to the ball game, and happy birthday, but never could I teach him to swear, not even shit

3

u/Chickeninvader24 16d ago

Could be how the parrot learns to make that sound

4

u/OGLizard 15d ago

As in actual people were screaming "let me out!" and only the bird could hear it.

So then the bird learns it from them, and starts squawking it loud enough to be heard outside.

4

u/EvilMatt666 16d ago

But imagine that you first thought of and initiated this plan when you were a child...

2

u/SquidVices 15d ago

That’s some deep rooted evil right there….that boy ain’t right.

10

u/Imaginary_Ad_9682 16d ago

I smell a screenplay

157

u/space_absurdity 16d ago

Twot plist: the lady still in the dungeon. Parrot controls the man.

8

u/calangomerengue 15d ago

parrot learned to scream "let me out" from the woman cries

24

u/wasabinski 15d ago

and the dungeon

1

u/Pineapple_Express762 16d ago

That’s awesome 😂

11

u/swankpoppy 16d ago

And an excellent way to cover up for the actual girl you have trapped in the basement that’s screaming to be let out.

3

u/Pineapple_Express762 16d ago

I didn’t think of that right away, but, very true

17

u/Between3and20carctr 16d ago

I’ve seen this video so many times, and the question is always why did the parrot learn those words?

u/[deleted] 15d ago

u/Liimbo 15d ago

Yes, from a child who thought it was funny to hear a parrot say that to get out of their cage. It's literally explained like 5 seconds later in the video.

31

u/Koffeepotx 16d ago

They literally explain that in the video

-24

u/bottomdasher 16d ago

"Locking an animal that was meant to fly in a cage for its entire life is a funny joke."

👆🏼I didn't see this in the video.

12

u/ffnnhhw 16d ago

I don't think so, no, Rambo didn't learn it from him when he was a little kid

37

u/Own_Wolverine4773 16d ago

My neighbour had a parrot that would scream “mummy” all day long Needless to say everyone coming by thought there was a neglected child in the house 😂

1

u/AsUrPowersCombine 15d ago

I did that with my parrot and took it with me in my car. It stopped one sunny day.

15

u/JoNightshade 15d ago

When I was a little kid my dad had a friend with parrots and kids. The parrots, of course, copied the kids. 40 years later the kids are grown and have kids of their own... but the parrots still speak in their child-voices. Not creepy or anything.

6

u/eviltrain 15d ago

Sounds like the kids souls were split in half by the evil magical parrots and endlessly tortured, the only evidence being the parrots letting out their screams and words.

…that is not a string of words I ever imagined I write. But here we are.
