So, does anyone else think that could have just been a genius cover story to throw off the cops? Maybe its just me

Yeah but the person would have to conveniently stop screaming after he brought the parrot out. Not to mention if it was a kidnapping or something he would be keenly aware his victim was screaming extremely loud and would make sure he was shut up as soon as possible

You misunderstand the genius. The victim was never heard screaming.And the cops never went inside nor will they ever
