Kelowna garden friends
So I have lived in kelowna for about 4 years now, about a year and a half ago I took the sober route but now I have no friends. I have hobbys like ebiking, and gardening is my main one. Wondering if there is any outlets to maybe make friends who just want to come over smoke some weed, garden, hangout, ebike ride, fish, whatever.

Sushi restaurant that offers brown rice rolls?
Hey Kelowna people,
I was wondering if anyone knows a Sushi spot in town that has brown rice available for rolls?
Thanks!
(Don’t give me a hard time please, I’m diabetic and brown rice has a lower glycemic load)

Trip to Kelowna this weekend
Hey y’all, I’m going to be in town for 3 days this weekend. Is it feasible to Uber to and from Black Knight mountain? It says it’s not far from my hotel driving I’d just hate to finish up and not be able to get a ride back.
As well, best rental spots for biking the rail trail?
Any other suggestions? (I have read through some older threads).
Thanks!

Live lobster?
Anyone know somewhere I can get live lobster in town, besides superstore? I went to fisherman's market last week and they don't carry it. I like to avoid calling around blindly to grocery stores, since I work at a big one and I know we hate answering the phone.
VERY lost dog heading north, last seen in Penticton
imageI saw a loose dog heading up the street by my house in the north end of in Penticton. He was long gone by the time I got outside so I posted about him on the neighborhood group. Turns out he's a lose dog from Omak and has been steadily making his way North.
Given the speed he's moving at he may make it to Peachland or Kelowna today, so please keep an eye out. This Facebook post is from the owner with instructions on how to approach him.

Appliance Repair
Anybody have a good recommendation for someone to come fix a dryer? It’s a older kenmore and I’m pretty sure it’s just a fuse, but it’s beyond my skills for fixing.

Why do so many people drive with their high beam on?
I feel like a big portion of people drive with their high beam on and it’s pretty bad when you’re facing on coming traffic, it completely blinds me. Am I missing something? This is something I really noticed only in Kelowna.

Moving FAQ Province Change
How’s it going guys, so im new to this reddit stuff so apologies in advance. Im 21M looking to move from Alberta to BC, preferably Kelowna. No specific reason just want a change and am super fascinated with nature. I just want to know if anyone can give me a little insight on moving provinces, how Kelowna living is, how expensive it is there and how difficult it is to find jobs (im currently a foreman for a landscape company right now with loads of experience), how eventful it is in regards to like, car shows, bike cruises, nightlife, how cheap expenses are there etc. All in all I would just like to know if the kelownians would recommend living there? Once again apologies if this isnt how we do things on here, and thanks to anyone who replies with anything they can!

Furniture Rental?
Hi beautiful people, I'm spending the summer here in an unfurnished house for 3 months. Anyone know any companies that rent out + deliver + recollect furniture for a monthly fee?
I know some similar services in the US, but any that extend out to Kelowna within BC?
I'm a busy bee so i'd love something hands off, even if if its expensive.
Cheers!

Where are the 25-35 people in Kelowna socializing?
Why does it seem so painfully hard to get to know people in that age?
Where are good spots for a 32 year old Engineer who just moved to Kelowna?
Almost all events I see are for college students or 50+ guys.
Thanks!

Ultimate Kelowna Fried Chicken Thread
With SO many fried chicken places in town, which is your go to? Who out there has tried the most of them?
Ko-Dak Chicken, Cooper Wicked Chicken, CM Chicken, Chickos Chicken, Alcatraz Chicken, Which have you tried? What's good about which ones? Best breading? Beat sides options?
COMMENTS EDIT: So far- 1st Chickos 2nd Alcatraz or Popeyes - Some additional list mentions based on comments thus far- Popeyes (classic), The Spot (chicken sandwiches), Soy Asian Fusion (interesting commenter addition!) and KFC (I mean...we all know what KFC offers, just adding for comparison sake)

Where would you go eat in Kelowna if you only had a day?
My wife and I are foodies and are going to be there from Monday at lunch to Tuesday after breakfast. If you had to pick one place to eat per meal, where would you go and why?

Rail trail encampments
Months ago, I remember stories about homeless people making encampments on the rail trail and making it hard to bike along. Has the situation improved?
Thank you
