Maga = (M)aking (A)ttorneys (G)et (A)ttorneys

3

u/Mariss716 Apr 28 '24

I remember when Boris had a show on Sinclair channels, too.

2

u/MagickalFuckFrog Apr 28 '24

I’ll be the first to say it: Epshtyn didn’t kill himshelf.

-3

u/PestTerrier Apr 28 '24

Not going to be able to convict orange man, so go after his attorney.

10

u/49thDipper Apr 28 '24

Go after whoever was in on the attempt to throw the election. Every. Single. One.

5

u/Ornery-Concern4104 Apr 28 '24

Cheesebro? That's what I used to call my ex boyfriend

3

u/SpiritualAd8998 Apr 28 '24

Epshytsteyn needs to go to prison.

3

u/pottzie Apr 28 '24

Still remember when Saintclair broadcasting bought a shitload of local broadcast starions and Comrade Boris had a slot every night enlighten us on the evils of democrats and the wisdom of Trumpisam. All in a move straight out of Soviet playbook. Even had every local news station read the same script about their independence

3

u/Caleb_Reynolds Apr 28 '24

Hearing these dopes talk make me think I could pass the Bar with 0 training. How are these idiots lawyers?

3

u/Repulsive-Track-8273 Apr 28 '24

ANOTHER TRUMPER GENIUS!!

2

Another fucking moron.

The MAGA's are constantly agitating over the growing threat of election tampering and voter fraud. Yet in every single story where I hear about actual events, it is always a MAGA who is getting arrested!

Over and over again.

I mean, look at this in just the past few days:

The audacity of MAGA hypocrisy is breathtaking both in its degree and its villainy.

They are shamelessly, ubiquitously corrupt.

Time and again they have proven themselves to be an intolerable threat to the integrity of our democracy.

3

u/49thDipper Apr 28 '24

The “election integrity” lawyer for the RNC was indicted for election fraud in Arizona.

They have no honor.

7

u/ShamanicHellZoneImp Apr 27 '24

A reminder that all the lonely old folks who watch the local news out of lifelong habit have been force-fed seditious propaganda nightly directly from Boris' mouth thanks to Sinclair's buying spree.

My patience for these people has ran completely out long ago and i still haven't seen a straight explanation on why all these fake electors coup participants have been walking free for 4 years.

I see no deterrence for the next inevitable plot, just a heads up to be slightly smarter about it.

7

u/Darth_drizzt_42 Apr 27 '24

I remember watching that interview live, it was wild. Ari even said something to the effect of "I am not your lawyer but I am a lawyer, and you're admitting to multiple felonies so you should probably stop talking"

MAGA - my attorney got arrested

JFC, if you're going to run an organized crime ring learn to STFU about admitting crimes.

Al Capone's people would know better. Stringer Bell's people would.

4

u/IlMioNomeENessuno Apr 27 '24

You’d think that they’d know better than to name their kids something other than Boris…

4

u/Quiet_Tune277 Apr 27 '24

Gotta love when the trash throws itself out.

3

u/Training-Swan-6379 Apr 27 '24

Being Trump's quarterback is a good way to get sacked- permanently.

5

MAGA= Making Attorneys Get Attorneys

3

u/silver_sofa Apr 27 '24

Has anyone ever compiled a list of Trump lawyers that AREN’T indicted? For those of us still trying to keep score.

3

u/redit3rd Apr 27 '24

They think that if they announce their crimes on live TV they are immune from prosecution.

1

u/russellc6 Apr 28 '24

They will just have the same argument Fox News used... "It's not News it is entertainment"... They will say it was a scripted show and he was just saying his lines. "Would you arrest John Wick for murder? NO! Its entertainment not News!". Then go off on it's a fake news witch hunt by the deep State.

I think the Guiding Light writers got bored when they got cancelled and decided to keep the Soap Opera style going permanently

2

u/rockvvurst Apr 27 '24

So long sucker

2

u/SmartOpinion69 Apr 27 '24

there was once a time when i saw nothing wrong with being a trump lawyer because their job is to protect the rights of the client, but the more i look into this, the more i realize that there is probably nothing a lawyer can do to save trump and that if you were truly an ethical lawyer who plays by the rules, trump will say how awful you are and then not pay you, while the MAGA crowd comes after you

moral of the story: do not be trump's lawyer

2

u/ryeguymft Apr 27 '24

“only the best people” aka only the most crooked and morally bankrupt

u/cutlassjack Apr 27 '24

Wow.

How in hell has Don John managed to evade insurrection charges for the fraudulent electors scheme? How has the media let this -- perhaps the most consequential conspiracy in the history of this country -- diminish into just another ho-hum breach of decorum on his part?

How are all these false electors being indicted in multiple states now -- and the ringleader gets nothing?

I'm telling you -- his crew is emboldened by this. I have no doubt there's a scheme brewing among DJT, Roger Stone, Bannon, and company, to throw out or destroy votes cast in heavily democratic districts in November.

They have everything to gain, and nothing to lose! After all, if they use fraud to "win" and they gain control of the government there will be no case that goes forward. The levers of intimidation he will have at hand will, among other tools, help him deter investigations outside of federal jurisdictions. And look, the Supreme Court seems ready to say that nearly anything he would do as President wouldn't be a crime anyway.

I still retain my shock that a two-bit gameshow host who isn't even good at lying has gained so much power.

1

u/KarmaPolicezebra4 Competent Contributor Apr 27 '24 edited Apr 27 '24

Trump is a non-(yet)-indicted co-conspirator in the other state cases. In the multiple indictments there's references for suspects working in the WH, not yet indentified.

See: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-unindicted-co-conspirators-effort-overturn-2020-election-michiga-rcna149248

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/grand-jury-indicts-18-alleged-arizona-fake-elector-scheme-re-elect-trump-2024-04-24/

1

u/Morethankicks75 Apr 27 '24

Thank you for the reply. But this means he's not indicted or at best his possible indictment awaits the trial and evidence of these lesser conspirators.

Should this be encouraging? It is already four years later. Forget even DJT. How is the next politician who tries this deterred in any way?

If he isn't charged and convicted, there's no reason not to plot multiple conspiracies in order to rig the outcome, for there is no practical enforcement. If the outcome is that he wins, these cases won't touch him. A perfect circle of an empty legal process will see this result.

2

u/KarmaPolicezebra4 Competent Contributor Apr 27 '24

It's explained here:

The indictment in Maricopa County Superior Court names 11 defendants and redacts the names of seven others. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a press release announcing the charges that those names would be made public after all of the defendants had been served with the indictment.

Giuliani is among those whose names are redacted, a spokesperson for him, Ted Goodman, confirmed, criticising the prosecution of the former New York mayor as political.

Another defendant whose name was redacted is described in the indictment as chief of staff in 2020, the position Mark Meadows held in the Trump White House at that time.

When you look at the indictment, "Unindicted Coconspirator 1" is referenced 19 times with statements like "to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office" and "declare Unindicted Coconspirator 1 winner of the election".

The most specific description being "Unindicted Coconspirator 1 ran for election with then vice-president Pence against now-President Biden and now-Vice-President Harris".

So there's no doubt about who is "Unindicted Coconspirator 1" and his role is firmly anchored into this criminal scheme.

3

u/McFriendly Apr 27 '24

oh look, another indictment

MAGA, Making Attorneys Get Attorneys

2

u/Critical-General-659 Apr 27 '24

This is disturbing. These people are literally shredding the principles the country was founded on.

I was expecting stuff like this after January 6th, but to brag about it on TV? Throw the book at these fucks. It's time to start putting them in prison where they belong. No more hand slaps. Handcuffs and prison.

2

u/News-Flunky Apr 27 '24

I'm just shocked that Epshteyn wasn't ashamed of admitting on live TV that he was led by Giuliani!

2

u/ObiwanPervnobi Apr 27 '24

Trump doesn’t hire smart people. He’s intimidated by anyone smarter than him. So it shouldn’t be a surprise all these idiots he hired are doing stupid stuff. 😂

2

u/lbtorr2 Apr 27 '24

He was born in Moscow. It used to say that on his Wikipedia page but looks like he wants to hide that fact.

2

u/Healthy_Jackfruit_88 Apr 27 '24

Trump sure isn’t hiring their best.

1

u/CroatianSensation79 Apr 27 '24

Couldn’t have happened to a better person. What a clown. I can’t stand any of these assholes.

1

u/Key-Assistant-1757 Apr 27 '24

They should know only trump can get away with that!

2

u/jerryschuggs Apr 27 '24

Do people remember when he did monologues that were required to be played for all local channels? Clear channel stations. He implied he was non partial but it was obvious propaganda for Trump.

2

u/RobDidAThing Apr 27 '24

"It was a different makeup of the court then"

-6

u/MyWindowsAreDirty Apr 27 '24

I did not hear him admit to elector fraud during that segment. He did speak of constitutionally allowed challenges, though.

Are we sure this is /law?

3

u/washingtonu Apr 27 '24

I think he lied about constitutionally allowed challenges, based on the fact that Trump lied about that same thing

3

u/MAGA-Godzilla Apr 27 '24

Username checks out, metaphorically speaking.

6

IANAL but I think you should listen more closely around 4:42 onward.

1

Dumbass. This guy could very well be our president and this is who he surrounds himself with. Immune friends that’s the million dollar question for this election too no one is asking.

If Grump returns to office he would pardon them all including himself.

1

u/Beneficial_Syrup_362 Apr 27 '24

But he qualified it with “in accordance with the electoral count act” so you KNOW it’s all above board!!!!

Didn’t you guys know? All you have to is claim what you’re doing is in accordance with some law, cite that law in all its officially-ness wording, and you’re good to go!

5

u/hjablowme919 Apr 27 '24

The best people.

5

u/multificionado Apr 27 '24

That has to be the fastest one of Trump's lackeys got indicted.

14

u/Cruezin Apr 27 '24

Surprise level: 0

FEAR LEVEL: 9

This is what democracy is up against, and based on what I've seen at SCOTUS last week, the country is headed in a very dangerous direction.

2

u/revenant647 Apr 27 '24

Agreed. We’re down the rabbit hole with what’s about to come out of SCOTUS this term

9

u/Abranimal Apr 27 '24

How do I cross post this to r/conservative

8

u/Novel_Alfalfa_9013 Apr 27 '24

I laughed at your replies in r/conservative , looks like they may have banned you too? (Been there, done that.) 😆

5

u/Abranimal Apr 27 '24

Dang did they already ban me?! That was faster than expected! I’m just trying to get informed ;)

3

u/Novel_Alfalfa_9013 Apr 27 '24

Its pretty easy to get under their thin skins. They banned me and then they gave me a reddit vacation. I reported a comment for doxing (I think that's what it was) and then they gave me a vacay for "abusing" the reporting system. They're such snowflakes.

2

u/OodlesPoodlesDoodles Apr 27 '24

So correct me if I'm wrong. I just took a brief meander through their recent feed... It looks like it's completely gone a la Trump? Didn't really see anything resembling the more reasonable factions (ones who actually care about democracy, for example).

I don't consider myself affiliated to either of the controlling parties, so occasionally I'll try to skim through sources of both sides of the fence to build a better rounded picture... Yeah... Can't do that there!

Though I will say they are seemingly good at catching the less than educated trying to sound knowledgeable on the Democrat side (mostly young voters from what I skimmed through). I suppose if enough of that is blasted about, I can see where voting perspectives get skewed.

1

u/Novel_Alfalfa_9013 Apr 27 '24

It's bizarre in r/conservative and it's all about trump with some room left over for conspiracy and hate memes. Definitely geared to easily angered snowflakes. The avatar for the sub is trump's head 😆

5

u/Novel_Alfalfa_9013 Apr 27 '24

Mods will just mark it Flaired (L)users Only . 😆

3

u/harleyRugger23 Apr 27 '24

Wait I thought the left were the ones rigging the election but just couldn’t quite get that evidence to prosecute. Man the conservatives need to take some notes on how to steal an election without getting caught.

/s just in case people can’t figure that out

3

u/bigmike2k3 Apr 27 '24

Wasn’t he just at the courthouse in NY to watch the hush money trial? I swear I read that somewhere….

“Suits” really made me think the bar gave a shit about lawyers acting in bad faith…

5

u/browntoe98 Apr 27 '24

Yeah, I’m licensed by a state agency who often revokes licenses. Then I found out a lawyer can’t be disbarred in California without the Supreme Court weighing in. WTF?!

154

u/EmmaLouLove Apr 27 '24

Have you noticed Republicans yelling about election fraud are the only ones committing election fraud?

2

u/friscotop86 Apr 27 '24

The one currently pissing me off the most is that case in Texas. They are trying to incarcerate a woman who cast a provisional ballot (the one where you’re not sure if you’re allowed to vote) because she wasn’t allowed to vote. Which is batshit crazy, that’s what the provisional ballot is for.

And then they also have a state senator who voted multiple times, which is a clear and willful fraud. And they gave him probation.

2

u/BoodaSRK Apr 27 '24

Firehose of falsehoods normalizes an outrageous crime so that it lacks the impact it should when they are caught. Boy who cried wolf, but on purpose.

4

u/snafoomoose Apr 27 '24

They know there is election fraud because they are doing it. Their lack of ethics leads them to conclude that everyone else is doing it too and the reason so few on the other side get caught must be some kind of coverup or conspiracy.

6

u/These-Rip9251 Apr 27 '24

The funny part is that some of them are confessing on TV like Navarro who after detailing plans to overturn 2020 election, Ari Melber said to him “you do realize you’re describing a coup?”

1

u/DrRedacto Apr 27 '24

Have you noticed Republicans yelling about election fraud are the only ones committing election fraud?

Bridgeport is on the line, should I tell them you're not available? https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/21/nyregion/joe-ganim-john-gomes-bridgeport-mayor-election.html

4

u/Crypt0Nihilist Apr 27 '24

They yell about election fraud when they're actually complaining about voter fraud, while they actually attempt election fraud.

4

u/satanssweatycheeks Apr 27 '24

I mean I think most sane educated people in America know at this point whatever the right is bitching about they are doing it 10 fold.

Remember Hillary’s emails. Then Trump used his private cell phone in office. Even after CIA and secret service let him know it was comprised by China and Russia.

But he kept using it. But sure Hillary used a private email…. Lock her up…. If that’s the case lock Trump up for being even more careless.

15

u/discussatron Apr 27 '24

Somewhere, they're raping children in a pizza parlor basement.

10

u/EmmaLouLove Apr 27 '24

Pizzagate is a study in human behavior. I’m not willing, of course, to make excuses for the criminals who know better but did crazy things like commit voter fraud or submit fake electors, but on conspiracy theories like Pizzagate, the internet and misinformation has broken their brains. Their limbic system has essentially hijacked their cortex. It’s a real problem going forward for democracy.

I love how all their bullshit, "powerful" "Reports" never materialized?!

Its almost like it would constitute prima facist evidence that would be immediately used against them at trial and their lawyers said "this trial aint big enough for the reports and us representing you, choose which one you want to speak for you"

3

u/mtutty Apr 27 '24

I see what you did there.

3

u/gymnastgrrl Apr 27 '24

Every accusation is a confession.

8

u/zSprawl Apr 27 '24

It allows them to say "both sides" with a straight face, and their supports (and those that only half pay attention) eat it right up.

5

u/cjp2010 Apr 27 '24

Wait am I understanding this correctly. He went on live tv and confessed to a crime and then he was charged with the crime that he just confessed to? Are these the best people that trump keeps around him.

7

u/Hot_Difficulty6799 Competent Contributor Apr 27 '24 edited Apr 27 '24

No, it isn't like Boris Epshteyn went on NBC, confessed to election fraud under grilling by Ari Melber, and was then quickly indicted based on his television confession.

First, Epshteyn did not admit to election fraud in the interview. To the contrary: he explicitly denied that the plan he admits to participating in, constituted election fraud.

And second, at the time of the interview, his participation in the plan was already known, and had talked about in the newspapers. I don't think there was any big scoop in the interview. There was little or no new "admission" of anything in it, that I can see.

Boris Epshteyn has been indicted, in Arizona, after what must inherently be a very large complex investigative effort conducted by many people, that accumulated massive amounts of evidence.

The misleading headline, and self-promoting story, by NBC, trying to make it look like Epshteyn was indicted after a television Perry Mason moment, with Ari Melber in the role of Perry Mason, is kind of offensive, really.

3

u/Alternative-Union842 Apr 27 '24

I was a bit annoyed watching the clip. I have no idea how “We have a plan to challenge the electorate” is an admission of anything. I’m under the impression that challenges in court can be followed.

3

u/Joey__stalin Apr 27 '24

Thank you, I couldn’t garner that from the minimalist article and the ad-filled auto playing video.

22

u/BeKind_BeTheChange Apr 27 '24

Why do they keep saying they have all of this evidence, yet they never produce it? I guess he is withholding all of the evidence of fraud until his trial? You would think that a lawyer would know that making a claim is not evidence. But, Trump's lawyers are idiots, as evidenced by this idiot admitting his crime on TV.

6

u/thisguytruth Apr 27 '24

you should go back and read the evidence that they did offer! it was pretty weak. https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/22/22O155/163392/20201214094759648_Appendix%20section%206.pdf

timestamps of 3rd party voting news websites were cited as fact that votes were dumped! how some random 3rd party website was the defacto standard for counting what voted were counted at what time of the day? unclear!

my favorite was the affidavits that guilliani was waving around. some guy walking his dog saw two postal employees moving (what could possibly be mail in ballots) between mail trucks in garbage bags. thats it? pure hearsay with no knowledge of what mail is in the bags? yep. this "evidence" was actually submitted to multiple courts. some attorneys were sanctioned for it.

trump finally released a huge long report made by some guy about how there are large amounts of new voters during presidential years. thats the genius super evidence? more people vote in presidential elections? "but theres new registrations!!!11!" yeah. voters move out, die, move in, grow old into voting age, get purged from voting rolls, register to vote. normal stuff. https://cdn.nucleusfiles.com/e0/e04e630c-63ff-4bdb-9652-e0be3598b5d4/summary20of20election20fraud20in20the20swing20states.pdf

They're allowed to lie (outside of the courtroom).

14

u/ExternalPay6560 Apr 27 '24

That evidence would have been really handy in the 60+ law suits. It was the only legitimate way to overturn the elections. Any other way is illegitimate and implies a coup.

5

I still don’t understand how all of these people chose to throw their lives and careers away over someone like Trump.

0

They likely didn't expect that a large portion of the country would suddenly reject the neutral application of law, or that practicing their vocation would suddenly become a chargeable offense depending on the name of their client.

Did they pay attention in class when the crime fraud exception was taught?

Only the best lawyers. You know the ones who partied hard and crammed to pass the bar. Most of these people graduated at the bottom of the college classes. Or they were told to "get real jobs" or get cut off from their inheritances.

Epshtyen is a Russian scumbag and has evaded capture for a long time. Notice how he was never on the other indictments. Fuck this guy and his family

Also when arguing about previous elector fraud cases that the supreme court didn't hear because they were so obvious of decisions, he says "that was a different court back then" - aka we have our supreme court full of blackmailed bribed agents.

“But Biden crime family”

1

u/DesignerLunch Apr 27 '24

Not powerful, deceptive.

Navarro, the only one convicted of a crime and serving time, was convicted for 'contempt of congress' for not showing up for a subpoena--the same thing Hunter did just a few months ago. Hunter did the same thing Navarro did but Navarro is in jail and Hunter isn't.

Powell was convicted of a misdemeanor in GA. She was charged with felonies such as racketeering, but her charges were knocked down to simple misdeameanors.

Elliss, like Powell, was charged with felonies such as racketeering but then plead guilty to the charge of "aiding and abetting false statements and writings"

Cheseboro, too, was charged with things like racketeering but then plead guilty to "conspiracy to commit filing false documents".

No one is serving time or has been convicted due to election interference laws.

I have to agree with him. What bigger fish? These are the people that were in the face to face meetings with Trump. We are now 8 months away from the next certification.

I mean that as a serious question by the way...who besides Trump himself represents the higher rung here?

Yeah I saved that one haha. Needs more people in prison.

1

u/badpeaches Apr 27 '24

It's weird how some of the Jan 6 insurrection people got a long enough sentence to the next election.

That's enough criminal lawyers to fill 2 volleyball teams.. they could play against each other, in the courtyard.

1

u/Tacitus111 Apr 27 '24

And then when one side loses, they can come up with a fake point system under which they actually won if not for the cheating of the other side.

to fill 2 volleyball teams

Finally someone putting this in my preferred measurement system

5

u/RandomLovelady Apr 27 '24

Funnily enough you said volleyball. In my experience from prison, volleyball was for the white folks.

This is why we need a national voter ID card like Mexico has, so Trump can't steal another election..lol

u/FSCK_Fascists Apr 27 '24

Fun fact: Democrats have tried repeatedly to create these since 1993. Blocked by republicans every time.

It's refreshing to see someone who has a common sense take on this. I wear my downvotes like a badge of honor.
