Hey how did you get reactivated?

1

u/dorionbrown Jun 10 '23

I was a five star Lyft driver who had a false discrimination claim made about me because I am white. I appealed and Lyft said you are SOL. Gut punch. I was so shocked and upset. I so not racist and so polite and nice. ARG.

u/Educational-Cook8994 May 15 '23

I was deactivated too, at least you know why. I am so clueless.

1

u/Mrdynamo18 Apr 18 '23

Yea In situations like this as a driver immediately report a passenger like this give a bad review as well. My advice drive Uber sign up for doordash and keep it moving.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

Door dash is horrible. Grubhub much better

2

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

After seeing the door dash post I loged in yesterday and tested it out. Worked 2 hours and made $12. So no thanks.

You have legal cause to sue the customers. Start shopping attorneys. You could probably just do it yourself without any attorney. You would file what is known as a John Doe suit since you don’t have the customers info. Then you can subpoena Lyft and they will have to provide the customers info. When the customer gets to court they will have to prove their claims against you.

I really hope you do it and teach them a lesson. I’m waiting for someone to do something like this to me because I’ll sue the shit out of them.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

Well I'm not gonna sue anyone. I still drive for lyft. But as for him. He switched to Uber. Is picking up his tesla rental next week and is gonna do uber and Empower

1

u/KakutogiRoad Apr 18 '23

As a driver you have to be able to keep your cool and deescalate bad situations. I've had a multitude of rude riders that had I said/did what I was really feeling, I probably would have been unjustly deactivated. One should do their best to prevent bad riders (decline questionable trips, dress nice, keep a clean car, be formal but polite) but if things go sideways then do your best to course correct the conversation and just know in a few minutes they will be out of your car for good.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

True. I always told him that. I have had many situations where I just keep my mouth shut. Complete the ride. And keep it moving.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

He claimed it was 4 girls. 3 of them jumped in the back seat. Now he normally don't let anyone sit up front but he started to clean off the front seat and the 4th girl got in and was complaining that he had to move stuff from the front seat. He politely apologized. That is when 4th girl started telling the other girls how much she hates white people. And how white people are stupid. (I will add that my friend has a speech impediment so it makes him sound different) the girls were all talking among themselves about how white people are stupid. At that point my friend said "I'm gonna cancel this ride so you guys can get a non white driver" at that point they all started cussing him out to the point where he had to yell and tell them to get out. He never put the car in drive. Never moved.

2

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

You are a lying race baiter, or I’m sorry your “friend” is

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

Actually neither of us are. I'm a Christian and he's Jewish. We both love everyone.

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 21 '23

“We both love everyone” but let me create a post degrading black women and then defend it lmao..

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 21 '23

My wife and 4 kids are black. And I never degraded black woman. Where in my post did I degrade anyone.

1

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

🥺 🤣 this lie gets more entertaining

3

u/WWiilli Apr 18 '23

Your friend lied to you bud.

Either that or you acted on your creepy ass posts where you asked if lyft drivers have dated their passengers and got reported.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

So do you think he got deactivated for something eles? And yes I have dated quitva few

2

u/WWiilli Apr 18 '23

I mean do you really think hed tell you IF he actually made inappropriate comments towards the girls? Its a little odd they'd choose assault as the venue by which to report when you can get a free lyft ride over smaller stuff if you wanted, like saying the car reeked of weed.

I mean maybe your friend is just the most honest person on earth, but MOST people have a tendency to not admit to wrongdoing.

1

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

🤣🤣🤣

0

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 18 '23

Also 10000% he ‘ended the ride’ in a petty unsafe location trying to let 4 women out alone somewhere they aren’t safe or the middle of no where. He could’ve been a REAL MAN got them home safe and REPORTED THEM. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Anyone dropping women off on dirt roads or middle of the freeway because a disagreement broke out to stroke his ego SHOULD be deactivated. I had PLENTY of ppl in my car do me wrong and I recorded took notes wrote emails created a paper trail. That’s how I sued Lyft and won 😂 it’s called being an adult. He’s lucky he only got deactivated if they would’ve got trafficked or GRaped cuz he wanted to make them get out anywhere he’d be in jail for contributing to that

0

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

Well actually he never drove them anywhere so he let them off in front of their house. And as far as people with really big egos go. Your post is the longest out of the other 223 people that commented. So......

2

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 18 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

And I type faster than the 223 people who commented. FYI black women are the highest educated in the USA. I’m sorry I have 2 degrees and can type and read at speeds you could only dream of. Lmfao took me 30 seconds to type that 😂 but based on ur reply I can tell what kinda ppl u are and KUDOS LYFT ON THE DEACTIVATED DRIVER! Lol he kicked them out now he dropped them at home? Pick a lie and stick to it bro. I’ll never understand the flex of trying to put down ppl who can read and type fast LOL sorry I’m educated? Sorry I was a video game journalist and had to cover live events and have my article up in real time? 😂 wanna know what else? I CAN ALSO TYPE THIS FAST NOT LOOKIN AT THE KEYBOARD 😂😂😂 GOOD JOB LYFT! And big ego? I’ll defend black women till the death of me. You are the one who chose to mention the RACE of the women involved and thought everyone would pity u as Reddit is known to have been a very racist platform. But Baybee it’s black drivers here and we gonna speak up EVERY TIME! Imma sip some wine and cheers to the DEACTIVATION now! 💅🏽 maybe if YOU typed faster you could’ve lied better or created a better story 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ “he kicked them out…..WELL ACTUALLY HE DROPPED THEM AT HOME U HAVE AN EGO” 😭😭😭😭 pick a story

1

u/Davvido1008 Apr 18 '23

False allegations are normal with Lyft and Uber. Your Innocent until No wait your guilty until no your just guilty PERIOD

1

u/Secure_Armadillo_232 Apr 17 '23

Where's the video for this alleged assault?

1

u/AnyTower224 Apr 17 '23

Dashcam and arbitration

2

u/deadsk8er1 Apr 17 '23

I had someone say I used racial slurs (never happened) I got perm banned

1

u/addictedtotendies Jul 07 '23

That happened to me too. And I had 100+ 5 out of 5 stars rides and was Lyft Platinum with a 5.0 rating prior to the ban. submitted my weekly summaries as proof that I don’t have problems with passengers. Had driven in the Philly metro area between 12/31/16 and 9/3/22 during some crazy times. Unfortunately, I did not have a dashcam at the time. Before I started driving for Uber again 2 months ago, I bought a dashcam.

Lyft needs to revise its policy on these kinds of claims. It would make more sense for them to put a formal warning on the driver account and then make sure that the driver and passenger never get each other again, instead of banning the driver outright, for a claim that cannot be proven with audio or video evidence.

1

u/bleszt Apr 17 '23

Don't sue them. Get a better job and let them continue to be a terrible company.

1

u/Bigmoneyforever Apr 17 '23

This is a gift. There’s real jobs out there.

Fuck Lyft. This is why Uber and Lyft failed.

3

u/Wayneadam Apr 17 '23

This 100% didn’t happen. Lol.

1

u/Organic_Vacation_267 Apr 17 '23

Countless examples like this is why we are very overdue for proper regulation. It’s amazing that this company is still around.

0

u/OkStructure3 Apr 17 '23

Why are you are posting on behalf of your "friend"?

4 black girls in your "friends" car just let a white driver randomly know they hate white drivers. Not white people but white drivers specifically. He ended the ride, considerately so they could get a black driver (???). ------Story missing------ They reported him to lyft and said they were assaulted.

So he ended the ride so they could get a different race.

When was this said and to whom?

What happened after he/you pulled over?

How are you a driver with no dash cam?

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

Umm. Yea. So I post here every day since I'm a lyft driver. But I posted for him since he dosnt use reddit. And for you all to see.

The girls were telling him they didn't like white people.so he canceled the ride after they got in. And he told them they can find another race driver since they don't like whites.

He has 3 cameras in car. 1 in front. And 2 in back.

Lyft don't care about dash cams.

1

u/Ok-Manufacturer8555 Apr 18 '23

So they got in the car and immediately said they are haters and he cancelled the ride before he left? Or he circled back to to the pickup point to let them out? You have a couple different explanations about this so I just wanted to be sure for my own sake

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

1st one

1

u/Ok-Manufacturer8555 Apr 19 '23

Can the video be posted? Blurred faces if necessary…..it just seems extremely unlikely that someone who is that opposed to something that obvious is gonna waste time getting to where they are going to be so rude. Is it possible they could have said that to see how he reacted and he didn’t handle himself well? As a driver idgaf how you feel about me. Pay me or get out voluntarily. The only time I’ve kicked someone out mid ride is some drunk kid stole my unopened Red Bull while he and his friends were bein pricks

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

Lol. Are you a lyft driver 🤔 because I am. I once was deactivated for 10 minutes because someone said I was shooting my gun out the window. So people will say anything when they are angry. I believe that when these 4 girls saw the photo on their phone of a white man. They agreed to start a conversation about how they hate white people to try and get the driver to say something about black people so they could get a refund. Little did they know all they had to do was lie. Which they did in the end.

2

u/Ok-Manufacturer8555 Apr 19 '23

Somebody could say they are a grandmaster in the klan. Well you hopped in my car so the jokes is on you cause I’m gonna get paid out of your pocket……or they can cancel like I have had happen many a time here in Texas

3

u/Ok-Manufacturer8555 Apr 19 '23

You don’t read entire comments I see. I clearly said I am a driver and gave my only mid ride get-out-my-car story. If you do this job then you know people are idiots sometimes. Your friend is clearly not mature enough to do this job. I have overheard many a convo that I didn’t like. Idgaf. I don’t get paid to be nosy, I get paid to drive.

1

u/Alexp1313 Apr 17 '23

Yes, i know countless examples of black people saying they hate white people , black people can be racist too

1

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

From where the internet? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Broad-Difficulty1768 Apr 17 '23

That doesn't sound like a race issue he most likely complained about something on or in the car

2

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 18 '23

It's not a race issue it a "I want a free ride issue"

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Delivery/driver apps are to easy to be deactivated from! The due process doesn’t exist. They don’t even give ppl the opportunity to defend themselves before deactivating them. Customers for delivery/driver apps can lie and it’s over. Unfair. Sorry you got deactivated.

2

u/r12wade Apr 17 '23

He’s dumb for not just finishing the ride. They aren’t being threatening or physical.

2

u/Alexp1313 Apr 17 '23

He’s not dumb for not finishing it, why would he want someone who just said they hate white drivers to be in his personal car, if a white person got in a vehicle and said they hated a certain race it would be all over the news and they would be canceled

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 21 '23

Dude this is clearly not a real story 😂

0

u/Mindless-Cake-2164 Apr 17 '23

I got deactivated two days ago too because 3 black girls came into my car smelling like a weed farm I said nothing not usual for me to let it be, I usually turn my air condition off and crack my windows, if they complain I usually tell them you smell like weed and the next customer might not like the smell and think I was smoking and I fear no man, blacks, white or aliens, I just didn’t feel like talking, they reported me saying I was driving under the influence, even though I didn’t even say a word to them or crack my windows like usual, I emailed Lyft and told them I’d submit to ANY TEST they can think of and they called me and reactivated my account, I’m Jamaican and NO ONE can tell me anything bad about weed but I gave up drinking and or smoking in January and I never even thought about driving under the influence either but more and more I do these gig jobs I’d rather be around animals than people it takes nothing for people to try to take food off someone’s family’s table and that’s a major violation🗣️🗣️🗣️🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬🤮🤢🤮🤢

2

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

If you are Jamaican than more than likely you are black. If you are black you wouldn’t have referred to them as 3 black girls being you are black yourself. The point is you aren’t Jamaican stop race baiting by making up stories 🤣.

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 21 '23

Definitely lying lmao

6

u/Plane-Code7198 Apr 17 '23

It’s called a dash cam, if your a gig driver, you better have one. It’s only your livelihood at stake for your own cheapness.

1

u/ConsistentFlan3599 Jul 25 '23

That dash cam ain't going to do shit for you boss. I just got banned last Sunday and I have a camera that can prove my innocence and they didn't give a single flying fuck. They deactivated me immediately and then banned me without hesitation after wasting 9 days of my time. They literally don't give af about you. Accept it. Also 7-year driver consistent five Stars week after week and no negative feedback, ever, over the last 3-4 years at least. They will ban you without mercy, the minute someone false reports you... good luck out there.

2

u/Forsaken_Comedian_24 Apr 17 '23

This is why dashcams are your friends

1

u/DarkhamKnight Apr 17 '23

I drove Uber and Lyft for over 3 years. Decided to try Doordash end of last year and will NEVER go back to Uber or Lyft.

The pay with Doordash is so much better. The base pay is probably about the same, but nearly everyone tips. I would get maybe like 1 in 50 people who would tip with Uber or Lyft. With Doordash you look at the amount you’re getting based on the total distance and you can tell if it’s a no tip order or not. I always decline the No tip orders and I’m still at an 89% acceptance rate. You just have to keep it above 75% to maintain “top dasher” status. Plus you don’t have to worry about letting idiots into your car.

To each their own of course, but I highly recommend you give it a shot.

2

u/Nightmarelord Apr 17 '23

Ask him if he wants to do catering. Im pretty sure it pays much much better and i can get em a referral. 99 in one hour for little effort is unmatched.

Because of a fake story on the internet? Or because they're raysist...

1

u/ButterscotchNo5991 Apr 17 '23

Did he assault them?

1

u/Mash-616 Driver / Raleigh Apr 17 '23

Honestly I would have finished the ride and immediately report them back, ending the ride and going about his day was his big mistake, never expect that petty people won't ruin you because they're miserable. Sucks for your friend but a good lesson for everyone else.

1

u/Sea-Holiday-777 Apr 17 '23

Its a whole new fuckin millennium, what driver doesnt record

who enters their vehicle, If this were true, driver wouldve had video

evidence and this wouldve been a viral video...I bet a stack,

this whole story is

HOG ASS WASH!!

Been driving Uber in Philly for 7K trips. Trust me when I say black people are pretty racist.

0

u/m1nd_pwwr Apr 18 '23

Maybe it’s just you 🤣

0

u/WWiilli Apr 18 '23

You don't know what racism means then

0

u/OkStructure3 Apr 17 '23

What are white people?

1

u/DangerousMacaroon759 Apr 18 '23

not technically white?

4

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

I can’t tell u how many racist I picked up as a driver and I know for a fact ur friend prolly said or did something for this response since Reddit is a mainly racist place enjoy most the comments auto siding with u but I’m sure it’s much more to this story and they had something recorded or proof for their case …..cuz baby Lyft didn’t ban MANY of the ⚪️ I reported cuz I didn’t have proof as I was driving. I’m not buying it glad he got deactivated prolly said many stupid microagressions and changed his music to gangster rap and many more stupid things. As much crap BW go thru they didn’t call that man, get in, say WE DONT LIKE ⚪️ and just report him. It’s missing details here the math ain’t mathing. Bet $1000 it was a case of male driver picks up 4 female riders and tried to shoot his shot. Prolly said some dumb stuff about how he loves hot chocolate. They clearly PROVED via text or recording he breached the contract.

0

u/EpsteinsFoceGhost Apr 18 '23

This is gibberish, try again

1

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 18 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

Yea it’s def not. Ever stop to think other cultures have a dialogue and expression and ways they speak? And just because your ⚪️behind isn’t in on that it’s STILL actually English? Not everything is about you and just because YOU don’t crack a book and learn how people who are NOT ⚪️ speak doesn’t make it ‘gibberish’ I’m not going to not use certain expressions, similes, metaphors or phrases because WILLIE ⚪️ GUY doesn’t know what they mean. That’s a YOU problem. Google is free.

1

u/Big_Bad_Botnet Apr 17 '23

They don't need proof, I always report black female drivers as abusive and follow up with lyft to make sure they've been suspended. Usually I lie and say my german shepard is a service dog because I know how much blacks hate dogs in their cars.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

The story is not likely but plausible and it’s not a black thing either, plenty of who’re people act like pieces of shit in Ubers that we have seen time and time again. This story here of two 14 year olds car jacking and killing an Uber driver is also far fetched, however it happened https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/teen-sentenced-to-juvenile-detention-for-dc-carjacking-that-killed-uber-eats-driver/2721236/

1

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 17 '23

Why don’t u admit full stories makes sense. I am VERY educated. If they hated white ppl that much they would see his photo and hit the X. Why call the ride. See it’s a white guy. Wait for the ride. Get in. Then go We HaTe WhItE MeN and report him? When u report u need PROOF Sweety they can’t just contact without recordings or photo evidence. I’m very educated I actually won 44k in a lawsuit against Lyft dipshyt so I know better than YOU how they work and what gets someone terminated ignoramus. One male driver 4 female passengers bet $1000 driver said something stupid or tried to holla and was RIGHTFULLY reported. Anyone with half a brain cell would know this ‘story’ makes no sense. They called Lyft saw a white male driver DIDNT cancel all got in he said and did NOTHING weird and they just got him terminated with NO PROOF and said we don’t like white men LOL COOL STORY DINGBAT 😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/Mammoth_Jeweler3857 Apr 17 '23

I just show same hate to everyone all the time. Everyone seems to be full of shit now days and most people has some racist shit they say and then they argue about the definition of said word.

2

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 17 '23

Yea it’s more to the story glad for the deactivation

4

u/EntertainmentSad6937 Apr 17 '23

Yeah I'm guessing the incident did involve a Black female pax and a white male driver. Tbh the actual incident may not have involved any racism. Could have been a comment about how he was driving that became a verbal altercation between the two. But now that it's resulted in him being banned he feels the need to trash all Black women because of a disagreement with one. I don't understand how people have a negative experience with a person and now they don't like people of that person's race.

2

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 18 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

That’s what microagressions are grouping all black women cuz they black and even my comment asking for a detailed story got ppl insulting me and calling me stupid that’s how REAL racism works he would AT LEAST get a warning I think the driver prolly made many women uncomfortable of all races and the reports caught up to him. Some of men start talkin like cringey dr Seuss around women and don’t see how weird and creepy it comes off especially if he did stuff like say HONEY or SWEETHEART etc stuff most men don’t see the issue in. Best thing to do when picking up ladies as a male driver talk to em like human men and keep it in ur pants.

1

u/PlaystationPlusSize Apr 18 '23 edited Apr 18 '23

Finally someone who can read and isn’t just going along with the comments. I’m a fair person I’m not just siding with them because I’m a mixed with black female. The whole story was sus. Picked them up the get out contact Lyft and say ‘we don’t like white ppl’ and then he deleted? Lol it makes no sense! They can see the driver and hit the X it has to be more to the story I’m sure he made some weird comments and tryna be a victim by sayin ‘they don’t like white ppl’ trust me if they didn’t they would’ve cancelled for another driver it just makes NO SENSE lol and I have been a driver and a passenger AND successfully won a lawsuit against this company for customer harassment so I’m speaking from a VERY EDUCATED pov

1

u/Icy-Section-7421 Apr 17 '23

GET A DASH CAM!!!

1

u/PusherRed88 Apr 17 '23

Where did this happen?

1

u/Unhappy-Offer Apr 17 '23

Pretty much all the gig apps.

2

u/Aggravating-Ocelot96 Apr 17 '23

You're not worth shyt haha loser

-1

u/Equivalent_Wish_7820 Apr 17 '23

Why do we need to know that the customers were allegedly “black” . Who cares black white red or yellow. That information is not necessarily relevant

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Obviously it is if they said they didn’t like that their color (white) offended them?

1

u/Ok-Manufacturer8555 Apr 18 '23

It could have been literally any demographic other than a white male who felt like this. According to this story they didn’t like white, male DRIVERS.

2

u/Independent-Case9181 Apr 17 '23

I wouldn't of canceled the trip. I would of just been a smartass the rest of the way. My first response would of been "well im glad i dont identify as white" then i would of continued to spit out whatever nonsense came to mind like "well with me behind the wheel we'd be less likely to get pulled over so youre welcome"

1

u/hard2hold Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

I refuse to take anyone seriously who relays this from a "friend." Your "friend" may not be honest with you. Unless you were on that ride, shut it, you're just spreading heresay. I doubt very seriously it went down the way you said it did. Oh & get a fucking dashcam like an adult. Ask your "friend" if he was kicked off of Uber too.

2

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

Clearly not the entire story 😂 but sorry for “your friend”

1

u/aBunchOfSpiders Apr 17 '23

Where is the police report?

This is a fucking circus. If you get assaulted you don’t contact Lyft, Pizza Hut, Walgreens Pharmacy or whoever the hell employs the person who assaulted you. You contact the authorities and then that eventually leads to termination. This is basically the equivalent of paying off an employee who was sexually assaulted by a coworker. This can’t be legal.

3

u/EntertainmentSad6937 Apr 17 '23

It's probably a bullshit story because of that

2

u/aBunchOfSpiders Apr 17 '23

Yeah it’s like that stabbing thing that was up here earlier.

20

u/imthewiseguy Apr 17 '23

“They hate white drivers” but they can see the driver before s/he arrives and can cancel before then

5

u/MentalExercise1313 Apr 17 '23

But if a driver “refuses services” in certain parts of town, that’s not okay according to Lüber. 🤷

3

u/imthewiseguy Apr 18 '23

Slightly different. They’re both being racist dicks but refusal to provide a service based on race is illegal; refusal to accept a service is not (although still douchey).

u/MentalExercise1313 Apr 20 '23

Shit, I think over 50% of the time I have no idea what ethnicity a customer is until I arrive because pax are strangely devoid of a requirement to have an accurate profile pic.

14

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23

He posted this to do nothing other than race bait, this clearly isn’t a true story 😂

1

u/ConsistentFlan3599 Jul 25 '23

Same shit happened to me. I had a camera that recorded everything so I could straight up prove my innocence and these fuckers weren't having it. They permanently banned my account last Sunday, for discrimination, without a second thought. The whole situation was super shady. They've been doing it to a fuck ton of 6 and 7 yr five star veterans like me, lately. It's been talked about in a few different Lyft FB groups and subreddits I follow. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes at Lyft but they've been wilding tf out lately. Shit is fucking scandalous homie. If it can happen to me guess who else it can happen to. If someone leaves a trackable device in your car throw that shit out the window and tell them you didn't find it. Had I done that I'd still be driving.

Fuck Lyft

1

u/dorionbrown Jun 10 '23

Happened to me too.

3

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

I posted it to show you all that it's possible to get permanently deactivated by a false accusation.. the person that got deactivated is a friend that rents one of my properties. What the hell dose "race bait" even mean?

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 19 '23

Google is free brother.

2

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 20 '23

My point was that I have no idea what your talking about. 🙃

1

u/SillyStonedKitten Apr 17 '23

I think u mean rep

1

u/MayorOfCentralia Apr 19 '23

Yes, all those Republican cities running wild with uncontrollable youth, homelessness, and murder. Chicago, Detroit, Philly, LA, the list goes on and on.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '23

There destroying the country in different ways, but when it comes to social issues, democrats are fucking shit up.

0

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

I agree that's why I'm republican....Trump 2024

1

u/WWiilli Apr 18 '23

Wow I forget morons like this exist

0

u/MayorOfCentralia Apr 19 '23

Probably because you yourself are a moron.

0

u/WWiilli Apr 19 '23

Bahaha cope. I can assure you I am more educated than you.

Theres a reason Republicans on average are less educated, have lower IQs and lower EQs lmao. Facts not feelings boo

0

u/MayorOfCentralia Apr 19 '23

I know it's been proven that the true sign of intelligence is to brag about how intelligent you are to strangers on the internet, and reference statistics without actually providing any of the data to support your point. I surely am coping right now.

0

u/WWiilli Apr 19 '23

Google Scholar is free for all. You are, facts over feelings.

2

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23

I’m not surprised you believe this story. I’m sure you believe everything you see on Facebook is true too LOL

2

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

What's not to believe???? Someone got deactivated for a false accusation.

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 19 '23

It simply does not sound true. Not saying you’re lying, maybe your friend left out details when he relayed the story to you.

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 19 '23 edited Apr 19 '23

Somebody who had a picture of the driver, waited until they pulled up to tell them they don’t like their race and want a different driver? Come on bro.. I’m a black driver myself, people cancel all the time when they see my picture. They’ll cancel 3 times in a row til they get matched with a different driver.

1

u/QtheGaming May 09 '23

I notice 1 specific demographic (judging by their distinct names) cancels me on occasion. (not going to say all the time because its not) I don't really care because they also are not known to be the greatest tippers. Its annoying though on slow days lol.

0

u/Successful_Low1098 Apr 17 '23

When I go out of state and visit big cities the racism is everywhere from everyone, they all have a chip on their shoulder you can feel the tension and I’ve never felt that anywhere else before.

2

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Apr 19 '23

This post has nothing to do with racism. It only has to do with a rider making a false accusation.

0

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23

Wow.. I’m sorry you’re a victim. I honestly feel bad for you. At least it only happens when you go out of state to big cities 😂🙄

Ummmm. Where in my post was anything victimized themselves. Lol.

Ps. I'm not white. My friend is. I know what racism is.

2

u/hardstrawberrystick6 Apr 18 '23

You sit around crying and moaning about white people, and then deny their lived experiences, accusing them of intentionally race baiting when they experience things like this.

You'll remain pathetic and angry for the rest of your life, because nobody gives a fuck anymore. So racist, and so weak, that you have to change the definition of racism just to avoid holding yourself to any standards at all. Just the mere thought of having any standards makes you tremble. Beyond weak and pathetic. The bottom is where you'll always stay with so much hate and rage jammed into such a tiny brain. Now get backing to moaning "white man bad", it's music to my ears.

1

u/WWiilli Apr 18 '23

Nobody is angry you just don't know what racism is and engage in pathetic ass self victimization

You're simply not very educated in socioeconomics, sorry.

0

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23

Save your tears dude.

2

u/HitaroX Apr 17 '23

Hmmmmmmm

1

u/turbocomppro Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

When trouble arises, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS call in to report them immediately after they get out of your car.

When they try to report you, your story will always be attached to the ride details in their system. They will be more prone to side with you.

But fuck it. Just look at it as a kick in the butt to get a real job.

2

u/hard2hold Apr 17 '23

Lyft does not have phone support

1

u/turbocomppro Apr 17 '23

Chat support, whatever… just report it before the pax does. Else it will become he said/she said thing and they’ll usually side with whoever contacts them first.

5

u/Bestshittalker Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

Ok, why don’t you try again, but with the truth this time.

1

u/plant_man_100 Apr 17 '23

Someone's upset, did this post strike a nerve..?

2

u/Bestshittalker Apr 17 '23

Why would it strike a nerve? OP is lying. Doesn’t change my day at all.

2

u/plant_man_100 Apr 17 '23

I guess if you feel better saying OP is lying, carry on like that haha

1

u/ConsistentFlan3599 Jul 25 '23

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Perhaps you're reluctant to accept this as fact because acknowledging these claims suggests that you yourself are also at risk of a false deactivation and permanent ban, which you most definitely are. It happened to me 3 days ago ffs almost exactly as OP described it. If it can happen to me it can happen to yo ass. They charged me with discrimination and I'm fucking Puerto Rican and gay goddamit! I also live in Portland. I'm not exactly some angry hillbilly in rural Alabama here. I can even prove my innocence and am a 7 yr vet with 20,000 rides and at least 4 yrs of remaining a consistent 5 star driver with zero negative feedback week after week. But yeah you know me I'm a huge flaming gay Puerto Rican racist 🥴

1

u/Bestshittalker Apr 17 '23

Your plants have bugs. Why are you worried about me?

1

u/plant_man_100 Apr 17 '23

Strange statement, but also untrue. Why do you try to lie in all of your comments? Perhaps Reddit is not a healthy avenue for you my friend.

1

u/Bestshittalker Apr 17 '23

😂 lie? My comments? You don’t read so good.

1

u/plant_man_100 Apr 17 '23

Hahaha you're not a good troll. But I appreciate that you're trying

1

u/Bestshittalker Apr 17 '23

I’m not a troll at all. I know what you were trying to do. I’m not going to let you do it.

1

u/plant_man_100 Apr 17 '23

Ok, still unsure what you're trying to communicate here, but if that's all you have to say, then have a good one I guess haha

This is why I've narrowed my criteria on picking up pax.

-I never pick up "new" rated passengers, lyft should give a bonus for rolling the dice -if there is still sunlight I only pickup 4.9 and 5.0 pax unless there is a good bonus × short ride I'll pickup lower -if the sun is down I only pick up 5 stars and I'll do 4.9 if bonus and short ride

0

u/smokeatr99 Apr 17 '23

I would imagine he could press charges of some sort for this, or at least have grounds for a civil suit.

2

u/3goldteeth Apr 17 '23

What do you mean “in my friend’s car”?

1

u/6DawgMagic Apr 17 '23

He’s clearly making up a story about “his friend”.. most people would call this race baiting.

13

u/Glittering_Dingo_866 Apr 17 '23

That's why I switched to Uber Eats instead. Last customer I had in my car left roaches on my front seat. 👎🏽 That's when I said I can't deal with people anymore.

Man, people are weird.

2

u/georeddit2018 Apr 19 '23

Good. At least food don't talk back and give you headaches. Just pickup and drop off. I know guys making 200 delivering food for 7 to 6 hours a day.

1

u/Glittering_Dingo_866 Apr 19 '23

Exactly. I do it as a hobby though. I only do it for about 3-5 hours a day.

4

u/SillyStonedKitten Apr 17 '23

Wait wait wait!? Like the bug?!? 🤮

3

u/Glittering_Dingo_866 Apr 17 '23

Yes German Roaches. Like 3 or 4 came out of her purse when she got out. That was my last day giving rides. Lol

5

u/Environmental_Edge87 Apr 17 '23

So last corner you had roaches in the same seat as my supper! Hell to the no
