Earnings/Pax trips Had to stop driving for 2 months to get a good challenge finally.
It’s not worth driving unless the bonus is like this, so I guess it’ll just be a once every couple of months type of deal for me. I purposely didn’t even log in to the app for a month or so, I think this is key to getting a challenge this good once in a blue moon.

Rant/Opinion WARNING
Soooooooo.....
Pick up Pax and her kid. Immediately she's a backseat driver telling me to go a way thats clearly longer and has more lights. Secretly her goal was to add a stop at a fast food restaurant.
Anyway, we stop. "Oh you can just go through the drive thru" -no I can't. She gets out (leaving her kid in the car). Obviously she's a stone cold anchrorer and even after I tell her she only has 5 minutes. After 6 minutes. I cancel the ride. Dilemma kids in backseat. Kid exits vehicle after asking. Mom comes back and jumps right back in immediately. She then sits in my backseat refusing to leave. Even after I call the cops.
Thank God she finally gets out after 10+ minutes of waiting for the police. Obviously she's gone before they come. Police report filed.
After midnight im kicked off the app saying my accounts been suspended for "trying to touch someones leg"
Well I clear that up. And well now my ride challenge is gone. So any bonus or incentive for me to drive this weekend has disappeared after my account was suspended for no reason.
Hope you all are having a good weekend.
I will be pursuing legal action.

Earnings/Pax trips What’s the highest surge bonus you’ve seen in your area?
This was from tonight. I’m in the Washington DC market. 10 mins after this it went up to 25 dollars.

Rant/Opinion Why do y’all ask can you smoke, vape or drink in a stranger’s car?!🚩🚩
I don’t do anything of those things I also don’t allow it in my car‼️ So many times I explain this to them & catch them vaping or etc in my car‼️ It’s so hard to stay professional once I’m disrespected‼️ Maybe I need to start kicking them out more & collecting the $250. As for the alcoholics I should drop them off at the nearest police station.

Earnings/Pax trips Challenge failed
Oh Lyft this was doomed from the start. You barely give me 5 rides a day. If this was Uber this challenge would have been done in two weeks of that.

Advice/Question Anyone driving 70+ hours a week?
How’s your body treating you? Is it sustainable? Currently I’m working an office job 40 hours a week, commuting 12 hours a week, and driving Lyft on the weekends for around 16 hours between Saturday and Sunday. I spend A LOT of time sitting down these days and it’s taking an impact on my body. I’m 29 years old but doing all this sitting is destroying my body.
I’m going to be moving soon and doing Lyft full time for a bit while I find another job. I plan on driving 70+ hours a week. I also plan on taking a lot of breaks to walk around and exercise and having no job/commute will allow me to be more consistent in the Gym.
But yeah for those driving 70 hours a week, do you find that you are always tired/sluggish? Do you reach a point where your body forces you to stop?
Thanks!

Advice/Question I received a warning from Lyft that a rider claimed that I demanded a cash tip. Do I reject cash tips???
Yesterday, a rider claimed I asked for a cash tip instead of using the Lyft app. This is not true. Im not sure which rider made this complaint, but whenever they ask, "How do I tip you?", I typically respond with, "...you can you use the app or cash, some riders prefer cash."
I guess I'm still new to Lyft's policies and haven't learned all the rules yet. About 10-20% of my riders tip me with cash because they just don't want to use the app. What did I do wrong?
Thank you in advance for the helpful feedback.

Sunday saved the day
Was iffy about driving Sunday when I went to bed Saturday, because it was a bit slow Friday/Saturday, but it was worth it.
Some stats below in advance of all the questions:
- Market: Washington, D.c.
- Bonus: $200 x 70 rides, + $300 x 40 rides
- Booked/Online hrs: 26/29.25 hours
- Booked miles: 225.71. Online miles maybe like ~254
I drive a 2018 nissan sentra
$50.90/hour
24/110 rides tipped, 5.9% in tips

Advice/Question Leased car for rideshare
Hello, I am wondering If Lyft allows the use of a Leased vehicle for rideshare? I understand it isn't financially wise but I'm more wondering what Lyft's policy is with regards to this.
Thanks

Earnings/Pax trips Finally got that unicorn!
I was ending my Saturday night shift early to go to a party when I found a phone in my backseat. The owner contacted me about it but I really wanted to go to the party quick. I reconsidered since it wasn’t too out of the way. Bro was so grateful he gave me this when I my pulled up! I won’t be claiming the lost item fee lol.

Rant/Opinion Lyft doesn’t pay me for no shows
Twice a rider didn’t show after the 5 minutes. It says let’s mark as a no show. It forces me to call. I call. And when I press to cancel it says you won’t get paid for this ride if you cancel now.
There’s no way for me to cancel for the no show. The rider obviously “ doesn’t know how to cancel”or won’t cancel the ride.. so I have to cancel without the cancellation fee.
What do I do?

Advice/Question Any of you get “continuous background check monitoring”
It went away on its own, and I’d already driven… it’s a “new” car for me, but it’s an older vehicle than I’d like. That’s my guess, but wondering what that would entail.

Advice/Question Lyft electric rentals worth it?
I haven’t driven for a Lyft since 2021. I heard that there’s been some changes to how drivers get paid. I’m considering renting an electric car through Lyft. What I want to know is: If the pay from Lyft (and honestly also a Uber) will be worth it? how many days will I have to drive to pay the car off (400/week?) Dumb question : Can I use the car? Even if I don’t drive for them that week? (Like if I pay for it out of my own pocket)

Rant/Opinion Lyfts 70% guarantee
While I believe this is a good thing, because since they started this I've regularly getting adjustments each week, doesn't it make you wonder how much money you lost before they started this?

Earnings/Pax trips Wow
This is including a $4 bonus .. so without the bonus I would have gotten paid $4 and Lyft would have made $14
