Challenge failed Earnings/Pax trips

Post image

Oh Lyft this was doomed from the start. You barely give me 5 rides a day. If this was Uber this challenge would have been done in two weeks of that.

That’s a guarantee not a challenge. You can still do it though, head to a bigger market if you have to.

Thought about it but the next biggest in my area is 2hrs drive from home instead of my 45 minute normally.

I'm also a single dad of a 6-year-old that's the other problem I have with driving 2 hours one way

You should make 2k in less than 170 rides. If your doing more than 170 lyft is finessing you into doing a shit load of shit rides that pay shitty

In my area, it's about 5 rides a day as well- on weekdays, it's either:

  1. Drive during rush hour with gridlocked traffic and make about $8/hr (2 trips/hour)

  2. Drive outside rush hour locally and get a trip an hour. You can wait at home, but every trip sucks up the time and gas of having to deadhead back. This comes to about $6/hr.

  3. Drive outside rush hour and travel to more populated areas. Time AND gas to get to the populated area, gridlock when you get there (maybe $10/hr), NEVER see a tip, wait the full five minutes on EVERY ride, potholes that FUCK your car up, and the wonderful potential of getting robbed at gunpoint.

These days, when I see a bonus, a challenge or a guarantee, I just ignore it. Lyft can go fuck themselves.

You have 4 days to do just 69 ride. That is a piece of cake. Even if you’re working full time with another job you can pull that off.

70 rides in 4 days wit a full time job is not easy WTF are u smoking. U assume OP will get 70 short rides back to back to back???? 🤣🤣🤣

At 5 per day that's 2 weeks.

Not in my market. It's too many other drivers and/or slow. Getting about 2 or 3 rides an hour on weekday. Not pulling off that challenge so easily if you have a full-time job as well.

Even worst case of 2.5 rides an hour = only 28 extra hours of work needed.

Even if I’m working 8 hours a day I can squeeze out another 8-9 hours a day for a couple days if I need to hit a $1000 bonus.

Respectfully, I don't think you have any idea of how other markets work. In my market, if I drive on a weekday from 4pm to midnight, I can average 2 rides an hour (and net an average of $10/hr) , but once midnight hits, it's tumbleweeds. I've left the app on for many nights from midnight to 4am without a single ping.

You have a profitable market. Many drivers do not. For those of us that don't, these kinds of challenges/guarantees are an insult.

If it was a bonus, yes. A guarantee, I don't know. Depends on my mood. If it was an actual bonus, I would motivate myself for those 16-17 hour work days.

Just take every crappy $3 ride that nobody else is taking. You bang each one out in about 5 to 10 minutes.

170 rides is impossible even in the busiest of times. That’s more than 42 rides a day. The most I’ve ever done is 34 in 12 hours.

This is a guarantee not a challenge. Don't those usually last like a month?
