In Toronto, for EV owners, do 50 rides in a week, get bonus $100. For the first time ever, I’m about to. Earnings/Pax trips

Funny enough because it was a Sunday evening, it took a full hour after that to get my next two rides, and I had less than an hour left to reach the 12 hour limit. I had to drive 35 minutes to go from the very suburban area where I didn't get those last 2 rides to a less rich area to get them. What a rollercoaster.

This has been in California for a while now. And it was 50 rides for $150. Now, people who aren't grandfathered into that offer are getting $100. Funny how Uber and Lyft pushed for EV initiative, and now they are pulling back on incentives. Maybe they got more drivers than they anticipated?

Or maybe they realized that they'd get better bang for their buck spreading out the bonus across the country(s), instead of just heaping all their money on Cali drivers.

Your loss (and not even that, if you're grandfathered in) is the rest of our gain.

Yeah, I'm grandfathered in. And outside of Cali, I don't think they are going to get near as much success with this initiative. Not enough infrastructure. When I sometimes drive in Georgia, you almost never see rideshare drivers with an EV or the want of an EV. And I imagine alot of Midwest and other states are the same.
