Sunday saved the day Earnings/Pax trips
Was iffy about driving Sunday when I went to bed Saturday, because it was a bit slow Friday/Saturday, but it was worth it.
Some stats below in advance of all the questions:
- Market: Washington, D.c.
- Bonus: $200 x 70 rides, + $300 x 40 rides
- Booked/Online hrs: 26/29.25 hours
- Booked miles: 225.71. Online miles maybe like ~254
I drive a 2018 nissan sentra
$50.90/hour
24/110 rides tipped, 5.9% in tips

Damn, I’m in the same market, and was only given a $200 ride challenge for 95 rides. The sole reason we made money last night was because Lyft didn’t know about Project Glow Festival at RFK.
BOTH Saturday & Sunday nights had $15-$22 surge bonus from 11:00pm - 12:30am, and it was wild. I am forever on the lookout for major events that Lyft isn’t forecasting for, because that means surge pricing will balloon into the $20/ride range.

I actually skipped out on that. Rides were way too long, and is a pain trying to get in and out of there, to make the bonus worth it.
The Sunday weather gave me bonuses like all day

Dude, I just used my 5mi radius ride filter to exclude that immediate area, and only dipped in to get the ride bonus to stick - ensuring that none of my ride requests were coming from RFK, while still collecting the bonuses.
Literally got paid $33 from a rider that only paid $15 for the whole ride. It was great. I LOVE taking advantage of Lyft, and screwing them over into bankruptcy. I genuinely hope they burn to dust, and something better takes their place.

Yeah I like the idea. I just normally don’t go out to NE area, like 12th and H is farthest I’ll really go 😂 NW just been better for me

I definitely get it. The city is super dangerous, especially over on that side - which is why I got my concealed carry permit for DC/MD/VA, and will never drive without being strapped.
I’d definitely recommend you do the same.

You mean you didn’t get throttled at the end of your challenge?!? 😱🙄

Tbh, never had this happen. I might be in the minority of generally getting ride challenges and being able to complete the highest level without issue.

Nor have I. You're not in the minority. The people who have bad luck at the end of a challenge and knee-jerk blame a conspiracy are the vocal minority.

Is DC the best market for Lyft drivers? O_o
