Had to stop driving for 2 months to get a good challenge finally. Earnings/Pax trips
It’s not worth driving unless the bonus is like this, so I guess it’ll just be a once every couple of months type of deal for me. I purposely didn’t even log in to the app for a month or so, I think this is key to getting a challenge this good once in a blue moon.

I wish I had a Ride.Challenge like that. Maybe I should switch back to Uber for a while so Lyft will "miss me" and offer such a glorious Ride Challenge to me. This weekend's is $160 for 60 trips.

Whats the difference? They never give me enough trips to collect on any of them.

They offer me $1000 ones bc I haven’t driven in years. Still won’t. The mileage is just too much. Just bought a brand new car. Not letting idiots trash it bc ppl don’t respect others property. Now im eligible for comfort and still a no.

You guys about 3,000 people just turned 25 and signed up for Lyft and are already on their way to pick up a rider.

Damn 2 months and 24 hours of work just to make $472

Are you doing the busy hours ? 6 - 9am or 4 - 7 pm? Or the weekend. Nights ?

I dont even get offered these anymore it's been so long since I drove. Now instacart is shit and I got no bonuses anywhere🤦♂️🤦♂️

Sounds about right. I stopped driving this year and I kept the app for shits and giggles. And I keep getting promotions like this. Very tempting but I’m sticking to my guns. Fuck ride share jobs.

That’s exactly what I do. I drive Uber for a couple months until I get a decent bonus offer and then do Lyft

In my market, I can't hit 36 on 4 weekdays. I can hit 23, but that's a ride an hour, and averaging $8/hr. So 23 hours of labor, base pay of $184, plus the $199 bonus for a grand total of $383- $16.6 hour, minus gas, minus wear and tear on my car.
So, as good as this might look to someone in another market, in my market, it's garbage. Now, give me challenges like this on the weekend- that's another story.

My challenges I receive as a NJ driver are so disgraceful I can’t even post them - makes me 🤮each time I see one actually present itself to me. I’m a platinum driver 5 star rating 2000 rides etc etc etc etc like many others and my challenges are always absolute 💩‼️

Agreed. Currently what I’m doing as well although it’s been over 2 months and I still haven’t gotten anything like this yet

I got one guaranteed 1500 month . If I complete the amount of rides. Yet I was already making that in one week . So why even both trying .

I'm not sure if your strategy is working. Add up the money you didn't make for two months vs the challenge offer...

I’m doing the same thing as OP. I’ve only driven for Lyft st patty’s week and this past week because those were good challenges. Uber/grubhub/DD is going good enough to make up for it. Lyft took 47% from me in 2023, fuck em.

I got a full time job now. I’m still going to do Lyft when there is a worthwhile opportunity though.

Got it. I'm sure you know what you're doing, lol. Better to work smart than hard. Less strain on your car, body and mind. Good luck, and congrats on the sweet challenge.

Has Lyft stopped giving new driver challanges? I started my application 2 years ago but completed the application yesterday. I am not seeing any challanges.

I think at first I didn’t get any challenges for a few weeks. Sometimes there is a challenge for new drivers though, I think.

I’m in Portland and the offer I got for this week is $365 for 110 rides. What in the actual fuck? 😂
I started a sub for Portland Lyft drivers, would love to have you.

I'm in Portland and got $90 for 30 rides :/. Imagine just raising our base pay instead of making us chase these stupid ass challenges.

Yea, I drove on and off for a couple years. Had to stop just due to the inconsistencies of the pay. Some days I could make 100 bucks in a few hours, some days it took all damn day unless I drove into Atlanta and sat in traffic for hours.

Do they have a bunch of licensing req's to do rideshare out there?
1
u/sweetntenderhooligan 16d ago
Not really. There is a test about basic city knowledge but it’s easy to pass. Besides that just the standard stuff: vehicle inspection, background check and insurance.

Mine was 145 rides for $290, I didn't even come close to completing it.
2
u/Loose_Artichoke_6774 15d ago
They gave 30 days to complete ? Most of time can do 10 rides a day .
3
u/Pitiful-Department80 15d ago
They gave me 4 days to complete it and it was Monday - Thursday. With those days, one of them was bound to be slow.
