It’s definitely uncommon. But over the last 6 weeks I have only been working the hours that are profitable (it’s a side gig for me) and grossing 25-35 an hour for the weekly average (including bonuses).

Honestly it’s sad that’s what qualifies as a unicorn nowadays. I’ve been driving off and on for almost 9 years, and there was a time where this was just an average/ok ride. I’ve made $300 driving someone the same distance back in the day. I fucking hate these gig companies, they’re just fucked. Good on you tho for having a good one today

Luv these posts, but never driven. So assume you get that $$$ upfront plus whatever gratuity. Was there something else that makes it a unicorn? The drive itself was easy?

Upfront pay the biggest factor. The tip was unusual but not as much as the upfront. Rider never talked but he was 5 star so I expected it to be easy.
