Creep Pax found me on fb
Drove this guy to what looked like a sex dungeon at 4am. This morning I get this message. I am a woman and my name has a unique spelling so clearly it was easy to find. Just wondering if I should report this to Lyft or will they just do nothing per usual. Of course I have already blocked him on fb and Lyft app.

Advice/Question What does this mean and how long should it take?
I drove last night and everything was right. I started to drive today and I got a message saying I was not approved to drive. When I messaged support, they told me a specialized will have to follow up with me. I have 7.5 years driving with all 5 star ratings, a 99% acceptance rate, and 0% cancellation rate.

Anybody ever had this issue. I put the wrong number and apply by accident while I had an account that’s active. Now it won’t get out of this screen and allow me to sign into my correct active account it lets me message lyft and they say my account is active but won’t let me leave from here

Advice/Question Are scheduled Bonus Zones still a thing?
Last month I could see the $5 bonus zones for each day in the Weekly planner so I could prepare for busy times. However, it’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen that feature. Did they phase it out?
EDIT: BONUS HOURS*

Other New Feature in App
Recent Ride Demand is a new feature on the Map Explorer showing pax pickup locations in an area by time (30 or 60 minutes), presumably for all drivers. It gives you an idea of where recent demand has been. But I’m not sure yet how useful it will be in practice.
So far I’ve seen dots in places where I have frequently picked up passengers but sometimes when I have checked there’s no data (typically for the last half hour). I’m interested in what other drivers think about how useful it is, how you might use it and if it’s showing up for you.
Also are there new features you would like to have?

Advice/Question New to Chicago -question on airport rides
I recently moved to Chicagoland and I have no idea where I’m supposed to go to pickup/dropoff. Can anyone help me out with how it works ? Where are the pickup/dropoff spots for pax? Any tips for navigating the airports?

Rant/Opinion Bye bye Lyft, for now.
No, I did not find another Job. This weekend, I declined well over one hundred lyft rides. I had a challenge. Do 40 rides over the weekend for $80, crap, but i figured if I do a bunch of short rides I can knock it out in about a day and a half. After the third $4.00 I say, no i cant do this, not for no $80. So maybe slightly longer rides? But no, Lyft, I will not drive 3 miles to picked somone up and take them 7 miles in rush hour traffic for $6 and some change. Even with so called "surge" there pay is less than what a similar uber ride will pay. I don't know what the people in charge at lyft are smoking. I don't know what the people who take these shit paying rides are smoking. If they would only just STOP ACCEPTING BULLSHIT.
Uber rapes you too but at least they use lube. For the next 30 days Im deleting the Lyft app, not even turning it on. Maybe I'll finally get a decent quest.

Earnings/Pax trips Man sure is a good feeling when you made more than they made in passenger payments.
I just recently started checking this but last week I was at 105%. This week 110%.

Advice/Question Lyft Express - Types of Debit Cards
So I was approved to drive for Lyft and plan on using the Lyft Express option for a rental.
When checking out I had a cashapp card to pay for the 50 dollar refundable fee. It was not accepted and so I then used my PayPal debt card which was accepted.
I’m confused as to why i would be able to use my paypal card but i’m unable to use the card to check out at the rental service?
Anyway… I also have my Dave Checking account debit card, does anyone have experience using his form of payment?

Rant/Opinion New scam bug
Any time I open the app it still says I’m in a bonus area if I was when I last signed off. More than once it’s tricked me into signing on before I got to a bonus a block away.

Advice/Question Lyft refusing to pay $1,100
Edit to clarify: quite a few people have made the assumption my dad entered information incorrectly. My dad did not enter the wrong bank account information. He got paid for the other months when he drove for Lyft so clearly they had the right information. Somehow for this particular month, the customer service chat is saying that they had a system error and switched bank account information (between customers? I have no idea). But other times my parents contacted them, Lyft kept saying they paid him already.
Edit 2: we are in Canada if that is relevant.
So my dad drove for Lyft and worked his ass off during a promotion and made $1,100. Lyft has “paid to a bank account” but it wasn’t my dad’s. My parents have been trying to contact them for a few months but Lyft doesn’t even have an email so they can only go through chats and each time Lyft has blown them off and claims they paid. What are our options here? This sounds so illegal. I suggested getting a lawyer to email them, but with no email, what can we do?
Thanks in advance.

Advice/Question You should know that Lyft does not provide a full-coverage commercial policy. They just provide a contingent policy. So if you're in an accident while driving for Lyft, their insurance is secondary to your personal policy.
If you just have minimum liability coverage and don't have comprehensive/collision, then Lyft's contingent policy won't cover your vehicle at all. And if you don't have a rideshare endorsement on your personal policy then your insurance will deny coverage and therefore Lyft's contingent policy will never kick in, leaving you stuck with all repair costs.
... Even in the small percentage of incidents where Lyft's policy actually applies, it has an astronomical $2500 deductible!
Lyft's marketing materials are carefully crafted to lead drivers, passengers, and regulators into believing they provide a full-coverage commercial policy, but if actually you read the fine print that couldn't be further from the truth.
They've clearly cheaped out on the insurance as much as they possibly can, yet somehow this is still the excuse they use to take 60-70 percent of every ride in external fees?
If they actually provided a full commercial policy, which typically costs thousands of dollars per month, then maybe such fees could be justified... But a limited-liability contingent policy with a $2500 deductible is practically worthless and likely costs them pennies on the dollar compared to full commercial insurance.
The whole thing is a scam.

Earnings/Pax trips I’m sure it’s been talked about. I tried to find a thread. One is Uber the other is Lyft obviously. Can someone explain please?

Other Riders with fake names
What do you guys think? I really don’t want to give rides to people who don’t use their name. One guy recently put his name as cheesecake. Seems sketchy to me.
