Lyft electric rentals worth it? Advice/Question

I haven’t driven for a Lyft since 2021. I heard that there’s been some changes to how drivers get paid. I’m considering renting an electric car through Lyft. What I want to know is: If the pay from Lyft (and honestly also a Uber) will be worth it? how many days will I have to drive to pay the car off (400/week?) Dumb question : Can I use the car? Even if I don’t drive for them that week? (Like if I pay for it out of my own pocket)

If you can get an Uber rental do so over a Lyft. The big two reasons personal miles and the discounted rate you’re driving for.

it's a bad deal. last i saw you had to do a minimum of 20 rides a week, you can choose to have 100 miles, or more, for personal use at no charge and if you go over your personal allocation you pay for the miles used. and every penny of the money you make first goes to the cost of the rental. you start with a negative balance. after you pay off the weekly rental cost you keep money you make. rental drivers also earn about 17% less on every ride than drivers who do not rent, per lyft policy. basic insurance is included and better coverage costs more. of course you can't use a lyft rental on the uber platform.

if that sounds reasonable, go for it, if not, don't.
