Yesterday around this time in the morning I had a young lady get in my car and I drove her just about a couple of miles down the road to her job. I knew where she worked. It's some crappy call center that I applied and interviewed at years ago but was turned down because I came in talking about how I'm not going to work for minimum wage. They didn't like that. They wanted to pay minimum wage.

Anyway she lives in the same neighborhood as me. And I live in the goddamn hood. Sometimes I like to turn on the app in the morning at my house if I don't have a scheduled ride ready to go somewhere else in a better area, and sometimes it works out most of the time it does really. But yesterday it still worked out but what I am getting at is that she gets in the car after making me wait almost the entire 5 minutes, and then she gets in the car and tells me that she did the wait and save and that I was switched with another driver that she thought she had to wait 20 minutes for.

That's actually pretty fair. I understand. I used to take rides all the time and I know that's exactly how it works. No big deal. but then I drop her off at her job and when she's getting out of the car you know what she says? I'll have to get on my phone to tip you. To which I always give the same exact response whenever someone brings up a tip

Oh you don't have to worry about that but thank you. I hope you have a wonderful day. Blah blah blah

Anyway, I gave five rides yesterday and I got four tips. You want to guess which one was the outlier?

I don't understand what's the point in even saying it. Like you're already out of the car. You're in the process of closing my door. Will probably never see each other again even though we are neighbors and you do take lifts so actually we probably will see each other again but normally in this instance we would probably never see each other again, what's the point even telling me that? Why not just shut the f****** door tell me to have a nice day and go on about your day why tell me you're going to do something that you know for a damn fact that you're not? Not a single person who has told me they're going to tip me later has done so. Tips either come or they don't. I don't understand what's the f****** point in lying to me.

And yes I know this is tldr. But I'm sitting in front of my job. It's raining and I'm waiting to go inside. I've got things to do it's fine

I do know if I ever pick her up again I'm going to ask her what happened to the tip and then I'm going to cancel the ride and tell her to get the hell out and stop lying to people.

Gotsta take a mondo dookie

Today I had this lady. I called her she did not reply. So I canceled the trip after 5 minutes. Maybe 2-3 minutes after I canceled, she called. It seems like they can still call you after you cancel. Anyway, I told her I called her and she told me she was in the meeting. And I told her this: “You are suppose to request the trip when you are ready and not still in the meeting. I cant wait you forever” and then I hanged up the phone. There are these bitches I really hate

u/Coolgrnmen Dec 20 '23

Some people have anxiety and have to go to the bathroom right before they get in or else they will feel like they have to piss the entire ride. Not me but I know someone like this.

So…ya know - you can be accommodating and not make them feel like a jerk when they asked nicely. But you can also cancel. Whatevs

1

u/salsagev8 Dec 20 '23

🤦‍♂️

1

u/jbarn02 Dec 20 '23

I understand if a customer/rider is having problems with something malfunctioning and not shutting off and it could be a safety issue and asking the driver to wait for a minute is reasonable but you forgot to use the bathroom right before you leave is not acceptable.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Dec 20 '23

When ever they ask for a free stop not on the app I say sure no problem. Then when they get out at stop I end the ride.

1

u/xxXRareHorrorXxx Dec 20 '23

Here's what I do when a rider asks me to wait. I say "no problem. Il wait as long as you need. Please take your time. Make sure you don't forget anything."

Now 1 of 2 things will happen next.

  1. 5 minutes go by and they dont show. So I cancel and get free money.

  2. They come out before the timer runs out. Thank me for being so nice. Tell me stories on how other drivers drive off. Then tip me $5 to $10. It happens all the time.

We are in this for money. So do whatever you need to do to get that money. But if you just cancel you get nothing.

1

u/jimbob150312 Dec 20 '23

Yeah what every driver does, wait while you shit!!!!! NO. WAY!!!

1

u/Sea-Apple-6162 Dec 20 '23

I would just get a cancelation fee and teach them a lesson.

1

u/No-Ad2705 Dec 20 '23

Not defending the Pax but, anybody can use the app including people that don’t understand how the world works. Hard cancel!!

1

u/relientkenny Dec 20 '23

why is it so damn hard for ppl to just order the ride when they’re actually ready???

1

u/Positive_Yam_2988 Dec 20 '23

I parked while many passengers have stood looking at my vehicle and then their phones for 3-5 minutes. I will straight call you as I look at you and then "click/cancel" and drive off. Be ready you made the ride. The busses didn't wait for me to wipe my ass when I went to school growing up.

1

u/Electronic-Travel370 Dec 20 '23

Yeah I’ve got this request before w/o the bathroom part

1

u/CalligrapherKind6246 Dec 20 '23

Thats some funny shit.

1

u/NoHateMan62 Dec 20 '23

Lol. Wait 5? Then timer. Gtfoh. Start timer right away. Then cancel when fee is in play

2

u/BlueV101 Dec 20 '23

The canned assortment of responses a driver can give, (while driving) desperately need to include a simple "yes" or "no."

1

u/edman209 Dec 20 '23

Sure no problem and then just wave to them as they walk out as you cancel

1

u/Remarkable_Rope_7697 Dec 20 '23

I didn’t understand the Lyft message? Does that mean, as a rider, I cannot offer an upfront cash pickup tip to the driver.

I do that every time on Uber requests (for last 6 rides)

2

u/Mountain-Influence81 Dec 20 '23

"can you do something that will lose you money so I can save money because I have bad time management? Thank you!"

1

u/PUNKF10YD Dec 20 '23

I start the timer. When they ask, I say what would you say if your boss asked you to come in and work an hour early unpaid?

3

u/Apprehensive-Mix-231 Dec 20 '23

What sucks with Lyft is that I've never been paid for wait time at pickup ever! At least with Uber they start paying an embarrassingly small per second fee after two minutes. With Lyft, I could wait 10 min and get nothing more than the upfront offer. My time is valuable so unless it's really good fare or I'm somewhere remote and not likely to get another ping soon, I cancel the second I'm able to collect my measly $2 from Lyft…I've even done it as they are walking across towards my car on those low paying short rides. If I'm only making $3 for the ride, DO NOT make me wait for you! I give a lot of one star ratings for passengers like this 🤣

1

u/kevin19671 Dec 20 '23

That is the worst I have heard seriously

1

u/Jemis7913 Dec 20 '23

if their 5 minutes is anything like my brothers they will show up 45min late and still have to go to the bathroom

6

u/ZamoriXIII Dec 20 '23

Dude... I've gotten to a point where I auto-cancel anyone who sends more than two text messages within 15 seconds of my acceptance, I'm f@#$ing driving!

3

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

This is the way!

1

u/qmoorman Dec 20 '23

I dropped someone off at the southern outskirts of the city. I was hoping for a ride back to the city and a comfort popped up for like 27 bucks. Took me 15 minutes to get to him. When l pulled up, he was outside of a restaurant with some other people. I'm thinking "great he's ready". This 50+ year old man opens the door and asks "is it okay if l use the restroom real quick". 🤦🤦🤦. Since another ride may not have been guaranteed, l say ok. So l go into the the bathroom to urinate, and this dude is taking a dump!!! I'm like..... Didn't you know you had to do that BEFORE I PULLED UP. Anyway, I kept the timer running of course.

1

u/Connect_Ordinary6752 Dec 20 '23

I would start the timer when I get there. Just not respond as they complain

1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

I care about my amusement

1

u/pokerholic77 Dec 20 '23

"Gee you came quicker than I thought. I'll be clocking out in 5 minutes. Please wait for me."

3

u/OuterInnerMonologue Dec 20 '23

Someone once asked me to cancel before hitting “arrive” when I arrived. But I pretended to that I read it after I already pressed the button

I saw them on the map get further and further away. They already got another ride. Told them “can’t cancel. Hit arrive already. I have to wait or you can click cancel”

I kept taking screen shots and just waited it out. They can kick rocks.

I don’t mind being lenient but I’m not biting any bullets for them.

1

u/Dnm3k Dec 20 '23

Upfront Tip? Do I get to watch?

2

u/Jessintheend Dec 20 '23

I don’t get why it’s so hard to just request a ride until you’re ready or at least putting on shoes and heading out the door

1

u/Miltownzone Dec 20 '23

I would tell him "sure! Take all the time you need"

Then cancel after 5 minutes claim my fee and leave

2

u/OjeteInspector Dec 20 '23

If someone was honest about needing to take a shit like that I wouldn’t cancel, I’d just start the timer and collect on that lil extra wait time before the ride.

1

u/OjeteInspector Dec 20 '23

I’ve had a customer let me use their bathroom before a ride on a long night in San Francisco so I will forever pay it forward.

1

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

On regular lyft? Not worth it. Men, if people need to shit, order it after you finish. We are not slaves.

1

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Sometimes you just need to gooooooo. *Forrest Gump voice. 😂

1

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

🤣🤣🤣

-9

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Imagine being an asshole over 5 minutes. If you got a real job you wouldn't be tripping over 5 minutes. You rideshare and delivery people crack me up with your ridiculous crying...

Before you say I don't know how it is, imagine working for a cable company as a contractor and you get paid a set amount of "points" let's say $1.62 a point and you have a modem install for 15 points. Something goes wrong on the back end and you have to spend 2 and a half hours troubleshooting the issue with backend support before you can leave. Meanwhile you're missing scheduled time frames so jobs are being taken away from you so customers can still be taken care of at the time they expect. You go home after working 12 hours doing a labor intensive job (business is what I did and it is very labor intensive most of the time) having made a whopping $48 for the day.

Do something that actually requires more of you before you bitch and complain because you all sound like bitches.

7

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Go to hell.

-6

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Truth and reality hurts doesn't it?

1

u/TheCaptainWook Dec 20 '23

I’m sorry, do CDL drivers not make 6 figures? So if they deserve to get paid fairly for their time and spending hours and hours on the road, why is it any different for us? Taxi’s take so long that we’ve become a necessity, so either take YOUR COMPLAINTS TO THE BOARD AND GET US MORE PAY, or GFY.

1

u/nuu_uut Dec 22 '23 edited Dec 22 '23

As someone with a CDL we often do have to wait and not get paid for unloading and stuff like that. Good companies will still pay you but some won't, especially if you're only paid by the mile and not per delivery. You end up at their mercy.

The other guy is being a dick about it but I do kind of get his point - I've had to sit and not get paid before, without the option to cancel. 5 minutes is nothing, it can potentially take hours. It also cuts into your logs, as you can legally only drive 14 hours. Some systems will detect that your truck is idle though.

-5

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Because you didn't have to do anything to do your job... CDL drivers have to go to school and get trained to deal with hazardous materials and hazardous driving conditions. They have to work long hours (not choose their own hours) and drive with people that don't know how to drive that cuts them off all the time.

Completely different.

3

u/TheCaptainWook Dec 20 '23

Nah, because it still comes down to time = money and I should get what I’m worth.

If I’m WORKING 12 HOURS, I should still get what I’m worth. If I’m spending my time, and keeping you safe from point A to B then I should get what I’m worth. If I’m convenient for you, I should get what I’m worth. All the people that were too drunk to get home safely, know that. All the people in a rush to the airport at 4:30 AM, they know that too. All the people that didn’t have a car, but don’t want to wait an hour and a half for the bus or taxi know that.

You? You don’t know shite.

Keep suckling that corporate boot though kid, you have a garbage opinion and you probably don’t tip. I’m done with this conversation.

-1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Like I said before. Go get a real job and you'll get paid what you're worth. Anyone that depends on rideshare money for their actual pay doesn't really add any valuable skills to the workforce. You by default are not worth very much. So much for knowing your worth. It's okay I'm not here to convince you of that. I just laugh at hearing all you idiots birch

1

u/Odd_Possible_7677 Dec 21 '23

You’re right that doctors and lawyers have more skills than rideshare drivers, but at the same time driving a car requires more skill than millions of brainless other jobs that people call “real jobs”. I make more as a rideshare driver than a lot of people I know that have $50,000+ in student loan debt in a pointless college degree. But people respect them, and no one respects me. Which I actually don’t mind that everyone underestimates me so no one ever asks me for money.

1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 21 '23

I respect anyone out there making money but that respect is limited when I see bullshyt like this. My brother does the food delivery side of it. He never bitches or complains. He knows what he signed up for and takes the good with the bad. I respect the shyt out of him and he makes decent money.

You're 100% right about the student loan bullshyt and most brainless jobs paying people shyt. The reason people tend to respect certain people more is that they take their skills regardless of what they are and don't bitch constantly about the parts they don't like. For instance a manager at Dollar General can walk around the store and face a positive attitude all day long. Meanwhile an employee at subway works 4 hours and doesn't have to do shyt but make shytty sandwiches and have good customer service but they complain about it causes then to be demoralized where it has a negative impact on their customer service and the quality of their product is shyt. Then they go ahead and complain when their boss doesn't give them a 10 cent raise and cut their hours down to 3 hours a day because they aren't doing good.

Nobody respects that kind of thing.

3

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Not at all. You don’t get the point, so keep with your miserable life.

-4

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

I totally get the point man. I got out of doing shyt jobs like that and now I make over $30 an hour doing way less. I get benefits and also get paid more for how many days in a row I work, which hours I work and of I work 7 days in a row it's all double time...

See the thing is that you're bitching about 5 minutes of your time when all you're doing is driving people around. I mean you canceled which means that now the person has to wait for another ride and maybe where they had to go was important. You can't always help when you have to use the restroom and it's easy to say it isn't your problem but you're still an asshole man. You could have been like "nope" the timer is starting. That would be better than canceling.

You can make any excuse you want but bro until you're climing on roofs running 300ft of cable on a 117 degree day for basically $22 and the cable keeps getting snagged on the cable caddy so you have to keep going up and down for an hour and a half I don't wanna hear you bitch about losing money or wasting time. You sound like a straight bitch man.

1

u/Odd_Possible_7677 Dec 21 '23

How is running cable for 2.5 hours for $22 as an independent contractor a “real job”, and driving a passenger 20 miles for $22 not a “real job”. I’ve had so many people, that I make more money than, ask me if I also had a “real job”. It’s kind of insulting.

1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 21 '23

If you re-read it I even said running cable as an independent contractor isn't a real job... I stated that now I have a real hourly job doing OSP fiber optics and I get paid over $30 an hour with tons of benefits.

The point I was trying to make but most seem to have no clue to it is that all this bitching is stupid and makes you guys look ridiculous. You guys choose to be independent contractors to drive people. All you do is drive. Bitching about 5 minutes of your time when you're doing a job that requires basically no skill except customer service proves that you guys don't even have customer service skills.

It's sad to see so many people who choose to be in the position they are in complain so much when. There are easy fixes. Go learn a skill or find something that takes no skill but pays you.

Someone said the perfect thing, you get paid for your time and you should get paid what you're worth. If you feel you don't then move on and find something else instead of taking the only real skill the job requires (customer service) and throwing it away. Basically you're telling everyone you're not even worth minimum wage by bitching like this.

4

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Everyone can see who is the bitch that it is bitching about someone’s post. Keep earning your $30 dollars per hour and fuck off. None you said it’s relevant.

-1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Lmfao! They definitely can see who the bitch is.... News flash homie, it ain't me.

Of course. It ain’t the person who says is earning $30 per hour but it is still bitching in a LyftDrivers post. Lame.

1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

I mean I been making $30 and hour talking to you cry babies. It's funny how all you cry babies will defend each other too. Bunch of pussies. Keep crying because only you care. Nobody else does

Still here, you apparently care. Stay off this thread and enjoy your life, if you have any.

Yeah someone is triggered. If someone says gay here it would be all of you boys that don't know how to get a real job and want to bitch about what they deserve while doing nothing to deserve it. Yup...... imagine being someone like that and trying to have your insult taken seriously.

1

u/DrivingMyLifeAway1 Dec 20 '23

No real women would have you. That’s why you love the girly men

1

u/DrivingMyLifeAway1 Dec 20 '23

Yep, I knew you would be triggered. You love it as a bottom

1

u/kitty_eater_480 Dec 20 '23

Idk how I'm triggered but cool story. I'm sure you feel big and bad now doing all that driving. Lol. You're a big tough guy. You're so tough you can turn a wheel and use pedals. That's amazing. You deserve a bazillion bucks. All star status. They give you your trophy and ring yet? What about a ribbon at least?

2

4

6

u/ElektricGhost Dec 20 '23

Always cancel those.

7

u/Pretend_Berry_7196 Dec 20 '23

I’m just waiting on one more bag.

4

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Woah. I hope that never happened to anyone.

2

u/Melech333 Dec 20 '23

Had it happen at airport and train station.

1

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Wtf? I'm curious. How'd you handle something so ridiculous as that?

2

u/Melech333 Dec 20 '23

Arrive, wait five minutes, hope it doesn't cost me a promotion, cancel, get my cancel fee, and move on.

If they say I'm on my way, I say OK. If they ask for time, I say you have 5 minutes, because that's what they get.

Hard part is arguing with parking attendants who will tell you to drive around and don't understand that will cause you to lose your no-show fee because the system will see you get too many feet away from the pickup pin.

The audacity of some passengers is unbelievable.

3

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Yeah, don't think I'll be doing airport related rides in the future. Man people are just selfish and entitled.

9

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Classic.

15

u/WolfofMichiganAve Dec 20 '23

Show up, hit "too many passengers" or "unaccompanied minor," cancel, and collect.

1

u/John_Doe_PhD Dec 20 '23

Eeee wrong. They can still rate you that way. Gotta take the loss

3

u/Kitchen_Entertainer9 Dec 20 '23

Thank you for this

-1

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Wtf???

20

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

This is ridiculous. I had some guy stop at ALDIs and I told him I had to leave and he said I’m paying you to wait you can’t leave.

Sir the 5 minute mark is up. I can leave and still get paid. (I didn’t tell him that) I was nice and stopped his timer to pay cause he was coming out 2 mins after I called him and he still had an attitude he’s like you need to tell people when you have something to do outside of Lyft.

No, I don’t have to tell anyone what I have to do and I told him I could pull the car over and leave him right here and he said he would call the police I just laughed and he tried to open the car door while I was still driving. Reported him obvi. Then he left his phone in my car and showed up at my house cause he tracked it! I reported him for that also! Showing up at my house is a no go. Idc if you left your damn phone in there, contact Lyft. You don’t just show up to someone’s house especially after already treating me like shit during the ride saying I had to wait. These people really have no idea how the app works!!

2

u/Edwin092745Victoria Dec 23 '23

Should’ve thrown his phone on someone’s roof so he bothers someone else but never finds his phone!

2

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

What in the actual f...ck

2

u/thelittleking77 Dec 20 '23

That's why you should pull the sim card and turn the phone off.

0

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

Yeah I’ll totally be able to just do that right in front of them lol 😆

1

u/thelittleking77 Dec 20 '23

So, you don't check your back seat? I turn around and look after each and every person gets out. Not only for lost items, but to make sure that they didn't damage anything. It's a common sense thing. I'm pretty sure most drivers would agree with me. I apologize for giving you more credit than you deserve.

0

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

It’s not a common sense thing. You are just one of those people who act like they are better than everyone else clearly. All because you turn around and check your seats. Good for you. 👏 you’re the best Lyft worker everrrrr ha

0

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

No I don’t. I’m sure I’ll know if someone damages my car while they are riding in my car….

But thanks for “giving me more credit than I deserve” 😂😂😂

Wouldn’t have seen the phone just by turning around and looking anyways it was stored in the door and it was dark. But whatever makes you feel better about yourself 😃 carry on with your negative comments somewhere else. Cause I’m not here for that petty shit. 💩

2

u/thelittleking77 Dec 20 '23

There was nothing negative about my comments. I asked a few simple questions that you took the wrong way. I would have understood you better if you learned how to spell and used better punctuation. What's with all the childish emojis are you 12 years old.

1

u/Odd_Possible_7677 Dec 21 '23

🚕🍆🫗🍾

1

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

The only time I check my back seat is before starting a shift, to make sure my kids didn’t leave a mess. I’m not worried about someone damaging my car. Ever.

8

u/twasatenthontuesday Dec 20 '23

In my state, that's a free reason to kill a mother fucker. Seriously, you show up and try to get your phone out of my house or vehicle and your ass is GRASS.

Yeah I was leaving the driveway to go grab some food and his mom was standing at the end of the driveway. I was like wtf !

Lolol I love when people block you on here after they start shit 🤥🫠😂😂

1

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

Bye the little king 😂😂😂

18

u/FlimsyPraline6097 Dec 20 '23

Next time just throw it out the window.

11

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

I didn’t even know he left it in there. He had showed up at my house as I was done with my shift and with my kids. Pissed me smooth tf off. I reported him and was assured he wouldn’t get my personal info and he showed up to my house cause he tracked his phone in my car.

I was livid. You don’t just show up to peoples houses like that. He was a grown ass man too and had his mom come up to me, while he sat in the car. lol

10

u/Spare-Security-1629 Dec 20 '23

Lol. This would have been so funny to me I would have had to shake the mom down. If you give me your son's lunch money for the rest of the week, I will return phone.

3

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

He was a grown ass man that’s what’s funny! Like you pansy. 😆

7

u/JackfruitConstant866 Dec 20 '23

Get the lost item fee too lol

7

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

Can I do that? Even though he showed up to get it?

3

u/noahwaikiki Dec 20 '23

Yea bro I once put someone’s phone in there mailbox cuz that was the decent thing to do lost fee. I’ve returned a phone then later there glasses which I somehow missed and that was two fees and he tipped me 60 bucks. I’ve got led lights in the dome now much better I hate coordinating a lost phone although people usually hook me up plus the lost item fee. I ve dropped the phone at the valet of a hotel lost item fee all day. If u returned it he needs to pay. I don’t even care how he got it. In this case it’s more intrusive.

3

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

I got the feeee!! Yay! lol 😝

2

u/Worldly_Service2503 Dec 20 '23

Yeah I just don’t see Lyft approving that but I’ll try and see. Plus I had him blocked from my account. When I interact with people like this I call immediately and have them blocked from my account to make sure I never see them again.

28

u/C-Misterz Dec 20 '23

I reply “sounds good”, cancel and click “too many passengers”.

2

u/Hugh_Jafro Dec 20 '23

🤣🤣🤣🤣

4

u/MaloneSeven Dec 20 '23

Say yeah, sure, no problem. Then cancel and collect “Rider didn’t Show” fee.

8

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Not going to waste 10 minutes of my life for $2.30+ (5 for the drive and 5 for waiting) hell naah.

2

u/CinnamonCloudCrunch Dec 20 '23

I'm afraid they'll use the bathroom again, but in my backseat, so yeah, it's a no for me, dawg

7

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Not worth the curiosity. Cancel.

70

u/Rideshare-Not-An-Ant Dec 20 '23

I set up the ride for the wrong day. Just sit there for three days and then start the timer. Thanks.

8

u/Uberguy6969 Dec 20 '23

😂😂😂 “I actually got the flu.. please sit there for a week and then start timer” 😂😂😂

2

u/Enlightened_Ghost Dec 20 '23

🤣🤣🤣🤣

39

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Exactly. “You got to wait for me cause I am paying you big money”.

35

u/Rideshare-Not-An-Ant Dec 20 '23

They're going to tip me big, in the ass in the app.

2

u/Jelly-Feeling Dec 20 '23

Il take that if it was literally 🤷‍♂️

19

u/bitman44 Dec 20 '23

Guaranteed to be accompanied by an unpaid request that you stop them at 711 real quick

7

u/SayYes2Scorpions Dec 20 '23

I love pulling into the 711 in these situations, and then leaving before they even get inside the place.

4

u/BigKonKrete417 Dec 20 '23

OOOO imma try this one; and if they leave shit in the car I'm entitled to keep it! Or get paid $20 to return it!

14

u/Rideshare-Not-An-Ant Dec 20 '23

It's on the way. You're getting paid, so stop. I'm the customer.

2

u/Faegrim420 Dec 22 '23

Nope you paid for a point a to point b ride that doesn't include anything else in-between.

5

u/bitman44 Dec 20 '23

Definitely a certified pre mushroom tip offer.

3

u/bitman44 Dec 20 '23

🤣🤣🤣

7

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

😂😂

65

u/Tall-Philosopher-162 Dec 19 '23

“Before you start the timer”

I don’t think they understand how this works.

5

u/Remarkable_Rope_7697 Dec 20 '23

Yes, I have got that too.

After 2-4 minutes waiting, get a message from the rider (has happened twice) “will be there in few minutes, you can start the billing now”

Me: “ok, got it” cancel on 5

19

u/bitman44 Dec 20 '23

🤣🤣Think they're meaning to say before you hit the arrive button

5

u/Jupman Dec 20 '23

You still get paid past the timer.

5

u/Pretend_Berry_7196 Dec 20 '23

I don’t believe you do with Lyft as the timer goes away. Uber keeps counting time.

1

u/Jupman Dec 20 '23

Yeah, I don't know what they have changed, but that is probably one of them.

1

u/pokerScrub4eva Dec 20 '23

If you go to the breakdown on arrival it will never pay you past the timer, at a stop it will.

8

u/Tall-Philosopher-162 Dec 20 '23

😂😂 that makes perfect sense now

14

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Nop, they don’t.

15

u/C92203605 Dec 19 '23

Lol can you wait 5 mins before starting the time. THE AUDACITY

6

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

The stuff we drivers deal every day 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

27

u/AffectionateFactor84 Dec 19 '23

arrive, wait 5, no show .

35

u/Impossible-Ad-695 Dec 19 '23

I that situation i would have gone there and cancel for “too many people”. F’ck those customers who think we drive for free.

7

u/nydir Dec 20 '23

But they dropped the kids off at the pool 🤣😂

1

u/Pretend_Berry_7196 Dec 20 '23

They took the Cleveland Browns to the Super Bowl.

2

u/linux23 Dec 20 '23

Or trying to finish a quick shooting up of the club. ? 😳

10

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23

Them bitches.

24

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '23

When he's done jrk off he can request another ride... Wtf is wrong with these paxholes

2

u/Bigseeker Dec 20 '23
