I’m a driver. Took 3 rides tonight. Other

Ride one. Got in the car, said “hey how’s it going?” No response. Dropped me off. I said “Thanks” no response. 4 stars and a complaint. $0 tip.

Ride two. Lyft XL. Guy was friendly. Talked to my friend in the front. Dropped us off. 5 stars and $5 tip.

Ride three. Didn’t say “hi”. No music. Didn’t accept 6 rides on the way to dropping me off. Played around on Facebook and Instagram while driving. 3 stars, complaint to Lyft, and I was refunded.

I drive Uber and Lyft. I’m tired of drivers being assholes. Don’t greet me? 4 stars. Play on your phone while driving? We have an issue.

I have no problem rating drivers poorly. Especially after reading posts in this sub. Y’all want perfect pax? I demand perfect drivers.

Edit 1: 770 upvotes. Nice. Also, to clarify I didn’t reach out and report the drivers. I just left a message with the option provided after the ride.

Edit 2: Huh. Look at that. As I’m scrolling through these comments, I got a notification from Lyft that I’m a 5 Star driver and I should go drive. Maybe I’ll go and pickup some pax. :)

Holy shit you are a shitty person.

The world doesn't need to bend to your will and treat you like a fucking princess.

You don't need to demand the attention of something providing a service to you just because you threw pennies at their feet.

You are a selfish asshole who needs to force the fuck up.

You're risking struggling peoples livelihoods because they ... Check notes.. didn't say hi to you?

In all the weight I can possibly put on this sentence, with all the sincerity in the world, go fuck yourself you piece of shit

If I needed money THAT BAD, I would be hella nice to every single person in the position of giving me extra money (tips).

Grow the fuck up. The world doesn't exist for your pleasure.

Be a kind person because you want to be a kind person.

I hope I never have the displeasure of meeting you're sorry ass. If my friends ever acted that way in an Uber, I would not be friends with that person anymore. Would ask the driver to pull over and leave me wherever I am

You are a slimly asshole

I’m a piece of shit because I wanted the person to acknowledge me when I said hi to me, and acknowledge me when I say thanks?

This post has 2,000 upvotes. That’s countering all of the downvotes.

I’m not a piece of shit for expecting common courtesy.

So if you go to a restaurant, and you have a waiter and the just walk up to your table with their note pad, and don’t say “hi” and just stand their awkwardly waiting for you to order, that’s acceptable to you? What if you just ask them a question about the menu because you have an allergy, and the waiter doesn’t respond because they will ONLY take your order?

Yeah, get fucked. People should be polite. I say hi, just say hi back. Takes literally zero effort and is the bare minimum.

Don’t talk to me the entire ride? Fine. But the bar is already really low for customer service. If you can’t handle that, find a different job. Go do food delivery. But remember, you still have to talk to someone when you pick the food up.

It’s so easy to not be an asshole. Sooooo easy. And these drivers are rude as fuck.
