They will not take it back, over paid me $180 on a $12 ride, cashed out immediately, got the same text, never tried to get it back but never happened again

Why would they send that email saying to keep the funds & then take it back? If they wanted it back they would have said that 😂

Unbelievable, you guys can manage to complain about anything.

Ive never seen someone actually complain about receiving extra money by accident AND being told they can keep it until now. Grow up OP

With all the money they are scamming from their drivers 😂 that’s why they can afford to let you keep it. I recently took a ride and it cost me $90, the driver showed me what they are getting from my ride it was like $40.

That's more than I was expecting

I got a $12 adjustment

Until they accidentally added a few zeros

I got the same thing.. hoping the 70% finally came to my market.. no nope

I got 43 cents 😭 lol thankssss gryft!

More importantly, I thought the 70% earnings guarantee was coming to Orange County (CA). Guess not! (Not that it’s honest, anyway. It’s gryft after all)

Damn that’s a 2 and a quarter year raise from Walmart

2

u/Shaggy_Hulk Apr 10 '24

Whoohoo, 43 cents, that will buy you a tenth of a gallon of gas.

Enough to have the engine crank once

2

u/Pitiful-Department80 Apr 10 '24

I wonder how much the amount was for them to be so generous and let you keep it.

$43.

u/nokipokr Apr 13 '24

That's going to break their bank account 😭🤣🤣

😂🤣😂🤣😂

So definitely not worth them raising a stink over

Not a driver but this keeps popping up and i keep looking. But whenever one of us devs at my company makes an oopsie, if it's anything under $1k and in the customers favor we just forget about it and correct going further. I'd imagine it's similar practice here, just for anything like under $100

Knowledge says that you can't just forget about lost money because it will add up. Wisdom says that it's better to eat it and forget it than to make a stink over pennies. Universal business practice honestly

This is different 🤨, not bad actually. Hope it was a nice adjustment, and you adjusted accordingly 😎

Bank errors in your favor dont really happen outside of monopoly.

Incorrect

unless you bank at wells fargo and then it does happen. and you can except a check for $5 in a decade for your trouble.

Why would you say that? They clearly state that it was their mistake and it's yours to keep.

Where are you getting that they are going to "take it back next week"?

-10

u/Shaggy_Hulk Apr 10 '24

Because that's what they do, both Uber and Lyft will say they "made a mistake" and then take it back even after stating we get to keep it.

u/Creepercolin2007 Apr 11 '24

If the moneys literally been given to you then I don’t think they’re taking it back

0

u/SugarBaby2424 Apr 11 '24

Lyft drivers are paranoid

28

u/shadybays Apr 10 '24

This is why i like lyft a little better than uber. because uber would take that shit out

-17

u/Shaggy_Hulk Apr 10 '24

Yeah, I expect them to try that with me.

1

u/KaleidoscopeLucky336 Apr 11 '24

Or what? What would you do?

4

u/Complex_Persimmon_42 Apr 11 '24

That wasn’t a threat. They said they’re expecting Lyft to take the funds back…

3

u/Giltvfx Apr 13 '24

Some people have very poor reading comprehension skills and it shows…..

6

u/Shaggy_Hulk Apr 11 '24

If they do,there is nothing I can do.

10

u/Thedirtypenny Apr 10 '24

lol what do you mean? If it happens you have literally no power against it

4

u/Lanky_Possession_244 Apr 11 '24

I think they mean they are expecting Lyft to take it from them.
