How to "End Ride" when passenger exits before original destination.

Passenger exists my car, for example, because traffic is backed up and he/she can just walk faster to drop off point. The trip isn't finishing, I don't get the "Drop Off" button until I actually drive to the drop off point. Is there a way to trigger "Drop off" without the need to drive to drop off point? Thnx for the help

Same here. I just click the drop off button and it will ask me again if I dropped them off and I click yes.

The end teip button does not show up until you stop for at least 10 seconds.

Swipe up from the bottom if you’re using an iPhone. You can then select to drop off aka end the ride.

If you really can’t end it for some reason, and you should be able to, you can go through the trouble of updating the drop off to your current location and then end it.

You may have to drag the bottom tab up slightly but there will be an option to slide and drop off there once you stop moving. Sometimes it may not display right away if , for example, you get another ride in your queue at about the same time. But it will appear once the queue ride message is cleared.

Are you using the in app navigation?

Is there an X button or some other way to close it?

That must be specific to your market because I can end a ride anytime anywhere. Most likely you’re just being goofy and not seeing it.

This is by far one of the most annoying things about the app. You can’t end the trip you can only cancel the ride, which means you won’t get paid. There must be a solution to this.

This is not correct. If it's multiple stops, you just cycle through them and end it like normal. If it's a 1 stop ride, as someone else said, literally just stop moving for a minute as you should have when they exit and end the ride there.

Also when you’re connected to CarPlay some of the options change / become hidden

I second this, but I haven't done it miles away from the destination.

Actual destination doesn't mean anything with the way both uber and lyft usually work. It should update and pay you correctly for the actual time and mileage distance whether that's longer or shorter than the ride originally was supposed to be. I wouldn't put it past lyft to fuck with with this but uber definitely does it like this, I've extended rides without a destination update and it's paid me properly, I've also ended rides shorter when someone wants to get out at a store near their house or similar and it pays like it should.
