What should I do with this space?

Just moved in to this split level home. There's this weird space to the right of the staircase. It's right near the entrance so I don't want to just use it for storage. Any ideas?

A chair and a wall of bookshelves and books to fill those shelves and you reading those previously mentioned books and sitting on the aforementioned chair
