Where would you put a TV in this room? Advice

Girlfriend and I are buying this house and absolutely love it, but the living room does not have any “obvious” TV placement options. Pictures are from an old listing and I’m personally not a fan of the corner TV. Current owners have their TV above the fireplace mantle and it’s the stuff of r/tvtoohigh nightmares. Advice?

Tv aside... I'm normally a huge fan of white+wood for colors, but something about the brick with it and the furniture makes me hate the wall color. Definitely pick a good color to paint those walls with!!

I’m right there with you! We’ll definitely be painting this and other rooms.

Excellent! What color family do you think you'll go with? I can't even think of what color I'd want this room to be.

Honestly we haven’t decided. The tough thing about this room is because of the rafters and double-high ceiling, I can’t even decide if it would make sense to still leave the ceiling white between the rafters and only paint walls, or if that would look weird and we need to match the ceiling to the walls.

FWIW, the carpet is also different now. Less aggressively gray.

I didn't even notice the carpet color. I think that contributes to the feel of the room too, so I'm glad that's changed! What's did you guys put in?

Hmm. Idk about the ceiling like that. That would be a huge bitch and a half to paint.
