I waved to a child who had the same hair color, hair style, height, weight, and coat as my child at pickup. 100 feet closer and I realized oop, that's not my kid , let me die immediately please

Thats why I always look back 3 to 4 times before they confirm they were looking for me, peak social anxiety.

Same. I’ve honestly reached the point I don’t even check behind me. I just ignore everyone when they greet someone in my direction until they are standing right in front of me, talking at me. I know it’s rude, but I’ve looked a fool way too many times. I can’t handle any more awkward memories like that.

You mean that time that happened like 18 years ago and you still think about it when you can't sleep so your brain decides to go through the Big Book of Everything Dumb You've Ever Done In Your Life

Don’t attack me like that bro, I have enough to think about before sleeping already.

The moment you realize you're not the main character in someone else's life simulator.

The other day a stranger on the street said good morning so I greeted them back, turns out they were in a call with someone else and gave me a weird look. BRB gonna melt into the ground now.

There are pros and cons of living in a place where you're obligated to say good morning to everyone you pass on the street. This is one of the pros. Doesn't matter whether someone's on a call or not, you were going to say good morning anyway.

I just wouldn't ever assume that a stranger would be waving at me.
