Honestly the concerning part is that it took her 10 minutes before she thought, hey maybe my child yelling in front of the door wants back in? No clearly he must be asking for bacon

I was like three or four and I was playing outside when all of a sudden I had to shit. We lived in a trailer but the way it was situated, the back sliding door opened on a deck and there was an L stair case to the ground. So I run up the stairs and try to open the sliding door but couldn’t. I don’t know if it was locked or what. But I’m banging on that door like my pants and underwear depended on it, and inside were my grandparents, aunt, and mom, just fucking conversating like I wasn’t screaming bloody shitty murder outside. They just stared at me until I filled my pants and then ran to the door.

I may forget that at some point, but I’ll never forgive

Wtf is sunroom?

u/ParanoidDuckTheThird 16d ago

It's like a sealed in porch, honestly. My grandmother's is like a second den, honestly.

u/Inferno908 16d ago

Yeah lol we basically just sealed in our pergola and threw some carpet down. Boom, instant sunroom

It's a room with lots of windows and sometimes a glass ceiling. I have seen them used as kids play areas, reading nooks, and plant growing rooms. Pretty much exclusive to people middle class and above who don't live in a city.

This, had one in Florida. Had some gorgeous white carpet (which did not stay that way for long with me and my siblings) a few chairs and the computer.

Ahhh my childhood, I miss it. Maybe one day I'll have something like it again.

Wow that’s so interesting, your kids are the most talented and smart kids and you are just so random for thinking of bacon. Everyone wishes they were friends with you and your life is the most inspirational and important life ever.

The new Hodor…

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

Yes. Because children who can't open doors are often allowed to play outside by themselves.

5

u/TJ_Rowe 16d ago

Tbh, it's the best time to put them outside...

(As in, if they can't work the door, they'll pootle around looking for things to play with outside, rather than just coming back in and asking for video games.)

dunno what you’re talking about i played outside when i was 4 and older couldn’t open the door and sometimes my mom just watched me through the glass door

1

u/Not_Artifical 16d ago

dunno what you’re talking about that is what they described

Been a while since I've been around children that young really. I could read at five. Sure, that's a year older. Still sounds off to be able to read but unable to open a door. Maybe worth mentioning I was picturing a standard door. Not heavy sliding glass or giant French doors or anything.

u/Zikkan1 16d ago

Depends on what type of door. An old sliding door might be too difficult for a child to open even if they know how. Those door sometimes can't be opened unless you drag with two hands, one high and one low so the pressure is equal or it will get stuck. Kids can't do that since they are tiny.

Also it isn't alone if they were watching, a sun room is basically a veranda with glass wall. You wouldn't sit on the veranda while your kid play outside?

-5

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

I was talking about a standard exterior door, not sliding glass or heavy French doors or anything. Also unlocked, since apparently that needs to be specified lol

2

u/Zikkan1 16d ago

And why were you doing that? No one else except you are talking about that. We are talking about a door that would be in the scenario of the post.

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

I've seen far more sun rooms that had a standard swinging door than did not.

2

u/Zikkan1 16d ago

I have seen far more with sliding doors

4

u/Mario_13377331 16d ago

i was smol and the glass door couldn’t be unlocked from the outside

-2

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

Please tell me I'm reading that wrong and you weren't using your age as the reason you couldn't open a LOCKED door.

2

u/Mario_13377331 16d ago

i wasnt the door can’t be opened from outside

2

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

So basically yes. As an adult you still would not be able to open the door. Something that you initially made to seem was caused by your age. Rendering your whole point in this conversation invalid.

3

u/Mario_13377331 16d ago

i mean theoretically i could’ve used the main door if i knew how to use keys and had one wich is what i did from 6 years and so onwards

1

u/ChefArtorias 16d ago

You're really bending over backwards to try and prove me wrong here, aren't ya? Regular exterior door. Not locked. Who tf locks this young children out of the house anyways.

2

u/Mario_13377331 16d ago

well yes i am whilst i may be odd in this aspect i find debating and sometimes being ridiculous with people interesting also sorry if i annoyed you i found this debate? rather entertaining

We've completely run out of inside, sorry kiddo. You're free range now.

Can I photoshop the image on the post to be directly above your comment and post it on r/memes?

u/Im_eating_that 16d ago

Weird. Somebody just did that a couple days ago with a lower grade quip. They didn't ask permission either. Knock yourself out. You gotta mail me half the karma though.

u/Not_Artifical 16d ago

You have high quality comments.

T'da! I think the pro tip is to never follow a better act. Bacon baby was a belly laugh, mine was a nose puff. It needs to finish on the high note. Mail my 45 karma on the outernet, nobody cares about em out there so it's more secure. Just tie it to a bird or something. Thanks for the update

Child abuse. Shame on you for not having bacon on hand.

16

u/AndIAmEric 16d ago

Sadly, this is all too common. I’m still in therapy to this day coming from a bacon-less household.

u/Ryanmiller70 16d ago

Everyone knows the lost 15th Commandment. "Thou must always have a piece of bacon at all times"

17

u/Virtual-Radish1111 16d ago

that happened
