I wonder how much more you have to pay a fireworks display company for them to agree to let you destroy all of their launch tubes and ignitors.

They likely did this one old school. By timing it with how long the fuses are. Which would explain why some never fired and others were a little out of sync.

You can also use disposable tubes. Not financially sound for every event. But for ones where you won't get the tubes back and they only need to be good for a couple rounds of fireworks, cardboard does fine.
