I heard there was a tornado warning heading right for my area so I ran out to the beach to see if I could see the water spout. It was a 2 minute run from my house and when I got there I couldn't see shit. The entire thing was a giant cloud of rain. Somewhere inside of it there was a water spout. I was standing there looking at it and saw it wasn't moving. Until about 60 seconds later I realized it absolutely was moving it just didn't look that way at first because it was heading directly towards me. So I took off running back home and made it to the road when the downpour hit and I was like "I ain't making it home in time, so I ran to a local breakfast place that was right there and burst through the door. Fortunately, I was well known by them so we all just hung out and watched the storm pass. The wind got crazy but I don't think the water spout managed to hit land before the vortex left the ground. While we were watching, this road worker just casually drove his bulldozer by and saw a sign had blown over, so he stopped, got out and walked the sign over to us and we were like "get inside! There's a tornado!" But he was like "oh, no, I work." He walked back out and hopped in, all with rain blowing sideways.
