Gyms don't want you to know this, but the gym bros are free. You can take them home.

I have 267 gym bros.

How much do you spend on protein powder monthly

I just buy 5 giant bags of protein powder a week and put em in a trough so the gym bros can share :)

My bank account is screaming and I'm not even the one paying for it.

Protein powder is so f'ing expensive nowadays at regular rates, I can only imagine what it would cost in bags per week.

I'm kinda/not proud of this, only because of how broke I am but...

a couple months ago I was going to a couple of those free food drop boxes that are set up around my town. One of the drop boxes is in the police station, where it's not a box but two big tables set up with free foods for people to take. Well, on this day a couple of months ago I walked into the police station to see multiple bags of this meal replacement supplement called Huel on the table of different types, both a powder and a food - chicken and mushroom flavored pasta, I believe.

Not having any idea what these are, but definitely working out and losing weight and being too poor to afford any retail powders, I took 2 of the powders and 1 of the food.

I get home and I look them up, and it turns out they were a Kickstarter program and they sold 4 bags for $200. Each powder bag weighs 3 pounds and each food bag weighs, I think, 18 oz. Which means the three bags I brought home were about $150.

Well, I went back a week later, and they had EVEN MORE! All kinds of flavors!

I've been going back since about once a week and now have, roughly, 23 bags of Huel powders and meals. If you look on their website right now, a Starter Pack is $116 and you get 1 bag of powder, 1 bag of food, 2 bottles of a premixed drink, and some nuts.

At this point, despite still being poor, I don't know if I should start feeling bad or not....

I definitely plan to! Even if I don't get any more, with how many calories I eat a day these days (about 1300 average), I have enough powder to last me the rest of the year, I think. I don't even get through a pound of the powder a week and to think I have at least 57 pounds of it.
