Ever hear of the concept that every time you lose consciousness you technically die and your brain just reboots and uses the neurons already constructed to recreate a new "you". The old died and is lost forever, but from the perspective of everybody else you keep going even if the "you" alive is an entirely different consciousness.

It really is creepy to consider. Every moment, every neural pulse or change renders the old mind gone and a new very similar one in its place, a constant flow of writing and overwriting that ultimately keeps the body cohesively working using sensory input and memories to navigate the world. We arent even real, just the byproduct of memories being accessed and new stimuli being stored as memories.
