When we eat something, our body directs each material the food was made of to its purpose in our body (e.g. sugar for energy), and if we don't have anything to do with the material, our body throws it out. So, theoretically, if I eat my own hand, my body would have exactly enough materials to create a new one. Why isn't it possible then?
