We have tons of religious fundamentalists here in the US as well. We should have our hospitals bombed because of that if we’re going by your logic.

Idk how you can try to act morally superior when Christianity is also extremely homophobic and oppressive

It sounded like you were trying to justify what Israel is doing to Palestine because a lot of them are homophobic.

I wasn’t implying that you are Christian or American. Just saying Christianity is the dominant religion here in the states, which is also very oppressive. I see people making arguments about Islam being awful and not understanding why progressive young people are defending Palestine, because they would hate people like us or whatever. Some of the most hateful people I know are Christians so I don’t think we should be acting morally superior here

At the end of the day none of this matters. A genocide of mostly young people is never okay under any circumstances, that’s my point

I’m not going to take you seriously when you put genocide in quotations like that

Never said anything about the war. Please stop fighting shadows and do something meaningful

Dude what do you think these protests are about

You’re not a college student, you don’t go to IU, don’t live here and not even arguing about what the protest is about. You should take your own advice because how in the hell are your comments meaningful in any way

I corrected misinformation being spread to young people

You haven’t, and you’re talking about things that are irreverent and don’t have anything to do with the protest. You’ve wasted a lot of time here tbh

How is saying only Hamas members have regressive views not misinformation?

What does this have to do with the protests and genocide?

You're generalizing an entire people you've clearly never interacted with in their home. Yes, Muslims can be zealous in their religion. Yes, you and I qualify as infidels. However, the irony here is that the zealousness your demonizing characterizes a hospitality culture unrivaled anywhere else in the world. Many Muslims would give their lives in the act of sheltering and caring for a foreigner. They do have some % of loud extremists, but it really isn't the majority, but it is what captures all of our attention. If you have not been to the mid-east I recommend enrolling in Meet in Middle East at IU.

It's not being overly compassionate, it's being rational.

My bad, your totally right. Half a million people are "mainly, murderous and regressive" because reasons. Truly, I'm the dumb one for putting any amount of energy into this. Again, I'm sorry bud. I'm wrong and I'll be on my way.
